1.0 WORK HOURS: 7:00 AM TO 3:30 PM, MONDAY THROUGH FRIDAY, UNLESS SPECIFICALLY NOTED OTHERWISE. IF CONTRACTOR WISHES TO WORK DURING HOURS OTHER THAN LISTED ABOVE, THE CONTRACTOR SHALL REVIEW OPTIONS WITH THE OWNER AT A MINIMUM OF 48 HOURS IN ADVANCE.

2.0 THE ADJACENT SPACE WILL BE OCCUPIED DURING CONSTRUCTION. COORDINATE ANY UTILITY DISRUPTIONS OR OTHER INCONVENIENCES WITH THE OWNER AT LEAST 72 HOURS IN ADVANCE.

3.1 SUBMIT THE ORIGINAL AND THREE (3) COPIES OF EACH APPLICATION FOR PAYMENT TO THE OWNER FOR FURTHER PROCESSING. DUE TO CURRENT PANDEMIC CONDITIONS, IF ALL PARTIES ARE CONSENTING, THE USE OF ELECTRONIC PAY APPLICATIONS WILL BE ACCEPTABLE.

3.2 PAYMENT PERIOD: SUBMIT AT INTERVALS STIPULATED IN THE AGREEMENT. SUBMIT WITH TRANSMITTAL LETTER.

3.3 APPLICATION FOR PAYMENT SHOULD NOT BE SUBMITTED MORE FREQUENTLY THAN ONCE EVERY 30 DAYS.

4.0 PROJECT SCHEDULE

4.1. WHEN OWNER'S REPRESENTATIVE REQUIRES SUBSTANTIATING INFORMATION, SUBMIT DATA JUSTIFYING LINE ITEM AMOUNTS IN QUESTION.

4.2 PROVIDE ONE COPY OF DATA WITH COVER LETTER FOR EACH COPY OF SUBMITTAL. SHOW APPLICATION NUMBER AND DATE, AND LINE ITEM BY NUMBER AND DESCRIPTION.

4.3 MATERIAL STORED OFF-SITE: SUBMIT INSURANCE CERTIFICATES, INVOICES, ETC., IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE GENERAL CONDITIONS.

01 25 00 SUBSTITUTION PROCEDURES

1.0 SUBSTITUTIONS WILL NOT BE CONSIDERED WHEN INDICATED ON PRODUCT DATA OR SHOP DRAWINGS WITHOUT A SEPARATE FORMAL REQUEST.

2.0 SUBSTITUTE PRODUCTS SHALL NOT BE ORDERED OR INSTALLED WITHOUT WRITTEN ACCEPTANCE.

3.0 CONTRACTOR TO SUBMIT SEPARATE REQUEST FOR EACH SUBSTITUTION. DOCUMENT EACH REQUEST WITH COMPLETE DATA SUBSTANTIATING COMPLIANCE OF PROPOSED SUBSTITUTION REQUIREMENTS WITH THE CONTRACT DOCUMENTS.

4.0 GIVE QUALITY AND PERFORMANCE COMPARISON BETWEEN PROPOSED SUBSTITUTION AND THE SPECIFIED PRODUCT. PROVIDE COST DATA COMPARING PROPOSED SUBSTITUTION AND THE SPECIFIED PRODUCT, AND THE AMOUNT OF NEW CHANGE TO CONTRACT SUM.

4.1. IDENTIFY EFFECT OF SUBSTITUTION ON THE CONSTRUCTION SCHEDULE AND THE CHANGE REQUIRED IN OTHER WORK OF PRODUCTS.

4.2 ARCHITECT WILL REVIEW FORMAL REQUEST FOR SUBSTITUTION AND DETERMINE ACCEPTABILITY OF SUBSTITUTION.

01 30 00 ADMINISTRATIVE REQUIREMENTS

1.0 THE CONTRACTOR SHALL EMPLOY A SUPERINTENDENT WHO SHALL BE IN ATTENDANCE AT THE PROJECT SITE DURING PERFORMANCE OF THE WORK

01 31 00 PROJECT MANAGEMENT AND COORDINATION

1.0 PRECONSTRUCTION CONFERENCE:

1.1 ATTEND PRECONSTRUCTION CONFERENCE AND ORGANIZATIONAL MEETING SCHEDULED BY ARCHITECT OR OWNER REPRESENTATIVE AT PROJECT SITE OR OTHER CONVENIENT LOCATION.

1.2 BE PREPARED TO DISCUSS ITEMS OF SIGNIFICANCE THAT COULD AFFECT PROGRESS, INCLUDING SUCH TOPICS AS:

A. CONSTRUCTION SCHEDULE, DELIVERIES AND STORAGE, PROJECT CLEANUP, SECURITY, USE OF PREMISES, COORDINATION OF CONSTRUCTION ACTIVITIES WITH OWNER'S OPERATIONS, WORK RESTRICTIONS, AND WORK HOURS.

2.0 PROGRESS MEETINGS:

2.1 THE GC WILL:

A. SCHEDULE AND ADMINISTER CONSTRUCTION PROGRESS AND COORDINATION MEETINGS EVERY OTHER WEEK AND CALLED MEETINGS OTHERWISE NEEDED, THROUGH THE PROGRESS OF WORK.

B. PRESIDE AT MEETINGS, RECORD MINUTES, AND DISTRIBUTE COPIES WITHIN FIVE (5) DAYS AFTER MEETING TO PARTICIPANTS, AND TO ENTITIES AFFECTED BY DECISIONS AT THE MEETINGS, WITH (2) COPIES TO THE OWNER'S REPRESENTATIVE.

2.2 LOCATIONS OF THE PROGRESS MEETINGS TO BE AT THE PROJECT SITE. THE ROOM AND LOCATION WILL BE IDENTIFIED AT THE PRECONSTRUCTION CONFERENCE.

2.3 MINIMUM AGENDA; APPROVAL OF MINUTES FROM PREVIOUS MEETING, REVIEW OF WORK PROGRESS, FIELD OBSERVATIONS AND PROBLEMS, REVIEW OF SCHEDULE, PLANNED UPCOMING WORK, COORDINATION ISSUES, SAFETY, SECURITY AND MAINTENANCE ISSUES.

3.0 COORDINATION REQUIREMENTS:

3.1 CONTRACTOR SHALL PROVIDE COORDINATION FOR HIS OWN WORK FORCE, INCLUDING SUPPLIERS. SUBCONTRACTORS AND OTHERS INVOLVED IN THE WORK.

3.2 CONTRACTOR SHALL PROVIDE COORDINATION WITH THE ARCHITECT AND OWNER'S REPRESENTATIVE TO KEEP THEM INFORMED OF THE PROJECT PROGRESS, UPCOMING REQUIREMENTS, AND OTHER PORTIONS OF THE WORK REQUIRING ACTION BY THE OWNER.

01 32 00 CONSTRUCTION SCHEDULES, REPORTS, AND NOTICES

1.0 PAYMENT: NO APPLICATION FOR PAYMENT WILL BE APPROVED AFTER APPLICATION FOR PAYMENT NO. 1, UNLESS THE CONTRACTOR HAS AN APPROVED CONSTRUCTION SCHEDULE THAT IS ACCEPTABLE TO THE OWNER AND THE ARCHITECT.

2.0 SCHEDULING

2.1 CONTRACTOR TO COORDINATE WITH OWNER PRIOR TO PERFORMING WORK WITHIN PORTIONS OF THE OCCUPIED BUILDING

2.2 AN OVERALL COORDINATION CONSTRUCTION SCHEDULE WILL BE REQUIRED ON THIS PROJECT WHICH WILL INCLUDE THE WORK AND THE RESPONSIBILITY OF EACH SUB-CONTRACTOR.

2.3 PRELIMINARY CONSTRUCTION SCHEDULE: WITHIN TEN (10) WORKING DAYS OF THE NOTICE TO PROCEED, OR FULLY EXECUTED AGREEMENT, WHICHEVER COMES FIRST, THE CONTRACTOR SHALL SUBMIT TO THE OWNER AND ARCHITECT A PRELIMINARY CPM CONSTRUCTION SCHEDULE SHOWING THE CONSTRUCTION OPERATIONS SEQUENCED AND COORDINATED.

A. SUBMITTAL TABULATION: THE SUBMITTAL OF THE CONTRACTOR'S PRELIMINARY SCHEDULE SHALL INCLUDE A TABULATION OF SUBMITTALS REQUIRED. LIST THOSE SUBMITTALS REQUIRED TO MAINTAIN ORDERLY PROGRESS OF THE WORK, AND THOSE REQUIRED TO BE SUBMITTED EARLY BECAUSE OF LONG LEAD TIME FOR MANUFACTURE OR FABRICATION.

2.4 UPDATING THE CONSTRUCTION SCHEDULE - THE CONTRACTOR SHALL PROVIDE AN UPDATED CONSTRUCTION SCHEDULE AT EACH PROGRESS MEETING AND SHALL INCLUDE AN UPDATED SCHEDULE WITH REQUEST FOR PAYMENT.

2.5 SPECIAL REPORTS REPORTING: WHEN AN EVENT OF AN UNUSUAL AND SIGNIFICANT NATURE OCCURS AT THE SITE, THE CONTRACTOR SHALL PREPARE AND SUBMIT A SPECIAL REPORT. LIST THE CHAIN OF EVENTS, PERSONS INDICATED, RESPONSE BY THE CONTRACTOR'S PERSONNEL, AN EVALUATION OF THE RESULTS OR EFFECTS AND SIMILAR PERTINENT INFORMATION. THE REPORT SHALL BE ISSUED TO THE OWNER AND ARCHITECT WITHIN ONE (1) DAY OF THE OCCURRENCE.

2.6 THE CONTRACTOR SHALL GIVE NOTICE AND COMPLY WITH LAWS, ORDINANCES, RULES, REGULATIONS, AND ORDERS OF PUBLIC AUTHORITIES BEARING ON THE PERFORMANCE OF THE WORK. IF THE CONTRACTOR OBSERVES THAT THE CONTRACT DOCUMENTS ARE A VARIANCE THEREWITH, HE SHALL PROMPTLY NOTIFY THE ARCHITECT IN WRITING, AND NECESSARY CHANGES SHALL BE ADJUSTED BY APPROPRIATE NOTIFICATION. IF THE CONTRACTOR PERFORMS WORK KNOWING IT BE CONTRARY TO SUCH LAWS, ORDINANCES, RULES AND REGULATIONS, AND WITHOUT SUCH NOTICE TO THE ARCHITECT, THE CONTRACTOR SHALL ASSUME FULL RESPONSIBILITY AND SHALL BEAR THE COSTS ATTRIBUTED THE DECISIONS.

1.0 SUBMITTALS

1.1 FORMAT & QUANTITY: CONTRACTOR SHALL SUBMIT ONE (1) ELECTRONIC COPY OF EACH SUBMITTAL. ELECTRONIC COPY SHALL BE IN ADOBE ACROBAT - PDF FORMAT. CONTRACTOR SHALL SUBMIT TWO (2) PAPER COPIES AND ONE (1) ELECTRONIC COPY WHERE REQUIRED FOR PHYSICAL SAMPLES, MAINTENANCE MANUALS, ETC. OR ITEMS FOR CONFORMING TO ELECTRONIC SUBMITTAL FORMAT. THE ARCHITECT WILL RETAIN ALL PAPER COPIES, AND WILL RETURN THE ELECTRONIC COPY MARKED WITH ACTION TAKEN, AND CORRECTION OR MODIFICATIONS REQUIRED. AN ELECTRONIC COPY SHALL BE MAINTAINED AS A "RECORD DOCUMENT."

1.2 DISTRIBUTION: FURNISH COPIES OF FINAL SUBMITTAL TO MANUFACTURER'S SUBCONTRACTORS, SUPPLIERS, FABRICATORS, INSTALLERS, AND OTHER REQUIRED FOR PERFORMANCE OF CONSTRUCTION ACTIVITIES. FURNISH COPIES OF FINAL SUBMITTAL TO OTHER PRIME CONTRACTORS REQUIRED FOR COORDINATION OF WORK. SHOW DISTRIBUTION ON TRANSMITTAL FORMS. 4.0 SAMPLES

4.1 SAMPLES FOR INITIAL SELECTION: SUBMIT MANUFACTURER'S COLOR CHARTS CONSISTING OF UNITS OR SECTIONS OF UNITS SHOWING THE FULL RANGE OF COLORS, TEXTURES, AND PATTERNS AVAILABLE.

4.2 SUBMITTALS: SUBMIT SAMPLES FOR REVIEW OF KIND, COLOR, PATTERN, AND TEXTURE, FOR A FINAL CHECK OF THESE CHARACTERISTICS, AND A COMPARISON OF THESE CHARACTERISTICS BETWEEN THE FINAL SUBMITTAL AND THE COMPONENT AS DELIVERED AND INSTALLED. WHERE VARIATIONS ARE INHERENT IN THE PRODUCT, SUBMIT MULTIPLE UNITS THAT SHOW LIMITS OF THE VARIATIONS. 5.1 PROVIDE MANUFACTURERS STANDARD WARRANTY FOR ALL PRODUCTS.

5.2 WARRANTY PERIOD: TIMEFRAME DEPENDED UPON PRODUCT.

6.0 CONTRACTOR'S REVIEW

6.1 COMPLIANCE REVIEW: REVIEW EACH SUBMITTAL AND CHECK FOR COMPLIANCE WITH THE CONTRACT DOCUMENTS. NOTE CORRECTIONS AND FIELD DIMENSIONS. MARK WITH APPROVAL STAMP BEFORE SUBMITTING TO ARCHITECT.

6.2 APPROVAL STAMP: STAMP EACH SUBMITTAL WITH A UNIFORM, APPROVAL STAMP. INCLUDE PROJECT NAME AND LOCATION, SUBMITTAL NUMBER, SPECIFICATION SECTION TITLE AND NUMBER, NAME OF REVIEWER, DATE OF CONTRACTOR'S APPROVAL, AND A STATEMENT CERTIFYING THAT THE SUBMITTAL HAS BEEN REVIEWED, CHECKED, AND APPROVED FOR COMPLIANCE WITH THE CONTRACT DOCUMENTS.

7.0 ARCHITECT'S ACTION

7.1 GENERAL: ARCHITECT WILL NOT REVIEW SUBMITTALS THAT DO NOT BEAR THE CONTRACTOR'S APPROVAL STAMP AND WILL BE RETURNED WITHOUT ACTION.

7.2 ACTION SUBMITTALS: EXCEPT FOR SUBMITTAL FOR RECORD OR FOR INFORMATIONAL PURPOSES ONLY, SUBMITTALS WHERE ACTION AND RETURN IS REQUIRED WILL BE REVIEWED BY THE ARCHITECT AND MARKED TO INDICATE ACTION TAKEN, AND RETURNED. COMPLIANCE WITH SPECIFIED CHARACTERISTICS IS THE CONTRACTOR'S RESPONSIBILITY.

7.3 ACTION STAMP: THE ARCHITECT WILL STAMP EACH SUBMITTAL WITH A SELF-EXPLANATORY ACTION STAMP. THE STAMP WILL BE APPROPRIATELY MARKED TO INDICATE ACTION TAKEN.

7.4 PARTIAL SUBMITTALS PREPARED FOR A PORTION OF THE WORK WILL BE REVIEWED WHEN USE OF PARTIAL SUBMITTALS HAS RECEIVED PRIOR APPROVAL FROM ARCHITECT.

7.5 INCOMPLETE SUBMITTALS ARE UNACCEPTABLE, WILL BE CONSIDERED NONRESPONSIVE, AND WILL BE RETURNED FOR RESUBMITTAL WITHOUT REVIEW.

01 40 00 QUALITY REQUIREMENTS

1.0 TESTING AND INSPECTING SERVICES ARE USED TO VERIFY COMPLIANCE WITH REQUIREMENTS SPECIFIED OR INDICATED. THESE SERVICES DO NOT RELIEVE CONTRACTOR OF RESPONSIBILITY FOR COMPLIANCE WITH CONTRACT DOCUMENT REQUIREMENTS.

2.0 PROVIDE PERFORMANCE REQUIREMENTS WHERE REQUIRED BY PROCEEDING TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS.

3.0 NOTIFY OWNER'S REPRESENTATIVE IMMEDIATELY IF ASBESTOS-CONTAINING MATERIALS OR OTHER HAZARDOUS MATERIALS, OTHER THAN THOSE IDENTIFIED IN THE DOCUMENTS, ARE ENCOUNTERED WHILE PERFORMING THE WORK.

4.0 SUBMIT TO OWNER PERMITS, LICENSES, CERTIFICATIONS, INSPECTION REPORTS, RELEASES, JURISDICTIONAL SETTLEMENTS, NOTICES, RECEIPTS FOR FEE PAYMENTS, JUDGMENTS, AND SIMILAR DOCUMENTS, CORRESPONDENCE, AND RECORDS ESTABLISHING COMPLIANCE WITH STANDARDS AND REGULATIONS BEARING UPON PERFORMANCE OF THE WORK. CONTRACTOR TO ARRANGE FOR INSPECTIONS OF INSTALLED WORK BY GOVERNING AUTHORITY.

5.0 REPAIR AND PROTECTION:

5.1 ON COMPLETION OF TESTING, INSPECTING, SAMPLE TAKING, AND SIMILAR SERVICES, REPAIR DAMAGED CONSTRUCTION AND RESTORE SUBSTRATES AND FINISHES.

5.2 PROTECT CONSTRUCTION EXPOSED BY OR FOR QUALITY ASSURANCE AND QUALITY CONTROL ACTIVITIES.

2.0 ERECT ADEQUATE BARRICADES, WARNING SIGNS, AND LIGHTS NECESSARY TO PROTECT PERSONS FROM INJURY OR HARM.

3.0 CONTRACTOR IS RESPONSIBLE FOR SECURITY OF MATERIALS, TOOLS, AND EQUIPMENT. SAFEGUARD BUILDING AND CONTENTS WHILE THE WORK IS BEING PERFORMED AND SECURE THE PROJECT SITE WHEN THE WORK IS FINISHED FOR THE DAY.

3.0 FINAL CLEANING:

3.1 "CLEAN," FOR THE PURPOSE OF THIS ARTICLE, AND EXCEPT AS MAY BE SPECIFICALLY PROVIDED OTHERWISE, SHALL BE INTERPRETED AS MEANING THE LEVEL OF CLEANLINESS GENERALLY PROVIDED BY SKILLED CLEANERS USING COMMERCIAL QUALITY BUILDING MAINTENANCE EQUIPMENT AND MATERIALS.

3.2 PRIOR TO COMPLETION OF THE WORK, REMOVE FROM THE JOB SITE ALL TOOLS, SURPLUS MATERIALS, EQUIPMENT, SCRAP DEBRIS, AND WASTE.

3.3 SITE: UNLESS OTHERWISE SPECIFICALLY DIRECTED BY THE ARCHITECT, BROOM CLEAN PAVED AREAS OF THE SITE AND PUBLIC PAVED AREAS ADJACENT TO THE SITE. COMPLETE REMOVE RESULTANT DEBRIS.

3.4 EXTERIOR: VISUALLY INSPECT EXTERIOR SURFACES OF ADJACENT BUILDINGS AND REMOVE ALL TRACES OF SOIL, WASTE MATERIALS, SMUDGES, AND OTHER FOREIGN MATTER THAT ARE AS RESULT OF THIS PROJECT. REMOVE ALL TRACES OF SPLASHED MATERIAL FROM ADJACENT SURFACES. THE ARCHITECT MAY REQUIRE ADDITIONAL OR OTHER CLEANING AT NO ADDITIONAL COST TO THE OWNER TO REMOVE FOREIGN MATTER THAT IS A RESULT OF THIS PROJECT.

3.5 IF CONTRACTOR FAILS TO CLEAN UP, OWNER MAY DO SO AND CHARGE COST TO CONTRACTOR.

01 77 00 CLOSEOUT PROCEDURES

1.0 WHEN THE CONTRACTOR CONSIDERS WORK TO BE SUBSTANTIALLY COMPLETE, SUBMIT WRITTEN NOTICE TO THE ARCHITECT AND OWNER'S REPRESENTATIVE.

2.0 SUBSTANTIAL COMPLETION INSPECTION:

2.1 CONTRACTOR SHALL CONDUCT THEIR OWN INSPECTION OF THE WORK AND SHALL NOT REQUEST SUBSTANTIAL COMPLETION INSPECTION UNTIL THE WORK OF THE CONTRACT IS COMPLETE AND CORRECTION OF OBVIOUS DEFECTS OR OMISSIONS ARE COMPLETE.

2.2 ARCHITECT SHALL COMPLETE ONE SUBSTANTIAL COMPLETION INSPECTION OF WORK. NOTE: THE OWNER RESERVES THE RIGHT TO OCCUPY AND TO PLACE AND INSTALL EQUIPMENT IN COMPLETED AREAS OF THE BUILDING PRIOR TO SUBSTANTIAL COMPLETION, PROVIDED SUCH OCCUPANCY DOES NOT INTERFERE WITH COMPLETION OF THE WORK. SUCH PLACING OF EQUIPMENT AND PARTIAL OCCUPANCY SHALL NOT CONSTITUTE ACCEPTANCE OF THE TOTAL WORK.

3.0 FINAL INSPECTION:

3.1 CONTRACTOR TO NOTIFY ARCHITECT WHEN ALL PUNCH LIST ITEMS IDENTIFIED IN SUBSTANTIAL COMPLETION INSPECTION ARE COMPLETE.

3.2 ARCHITECT TO COMPLETE A FINAL INSPECTION OF THE PUNCH LIST ITEMS TO VERIFY ALL ITEMS HAVE BEEN COMPLETED. WHEN ARCHITECT AND OWNER CONFIRM THAT THE WORK IS SATISFACTORILY COMPLETE, THE ARCHITECT WILL AUTHORIZE FINAL PAYMENT.

DUCT LEAKAGE TESTING

ALL DUCTS INSTALLED UNDER THIS CONTRACT SHALL BE LEAK TESTED FOR LEAKAGE AT 100 PERCENT OF DESIGN STATIC PRESSURE IN ACCORDANCE WITH SMACNA RECOMMENDATIONS. LEAKAGE RATE SHALL NOT EXCEED RECOMMENDATIONS OF SMACNA; HOWEVER, CONCENTRATED LEAKAGE AT ONE POINT WILL NOT BE PERMITTED. DUCTS SHALL BE TESTED BEFORE IT IS COVERED OR CONCEALED AND SHALL BE ISOLATED, CAPPED-OFF AND TESTED IN SECTIONS. CLOSURES SHALL BE FURNISHED AND INSTALLED UNDER THIS CONTRACT. DISASSEMBLE, REASSEMBLE, AND SEAL SEGMENTS OF SYSTEMS AS REQUIRED TO ACCOMMODATE LEAKAGE TESTING AND AS REQUIRED FOR COMPLIANCE WITH TEST REQUIREMENTS. REMAKE LEAKING JOINTS AND RETEST UNTIL LEAKAGE IS LESS THAN MAXIMUM ALLOWABLE. PERFORM TESTS ACCORDING TO SMACNA'S "HVAC AIR DUCT LEAKAGE TEST MANUAL" EXCEPT WHERE THESE SPECIFICATIONS EXCEED SMACNA REQUIREMENTS.

DUCT INSULATION

SUPPLY, OUTDOOR AIR, AND MIXED AIR DUCTS CONCEALED TO VIEW ABOVE CEILINGS SHALL BE COVERED ON THE OUTSIDE AND INSULATED WITH MINERAL FIBER BLANKET INSULATION CONSISTING OF GLASS FIBERS BONDED WITH A THERMOSETTING RESIN. COMPLY WITH ASTM C 553, TYPE III, 1-1/2 PCF DENSITY, WITH A FOIL-SCRIM-KRAFT (FSK) JACKET MANUFACTURED FROM KRAFT PAPER, REINFORCING SCRIM, ALUMINUM FOIL, AND VINYL FILM. VAPOR BARRIER JACKET SHALL BE PROVIDED WITH 2-INCH-WIDE END FLAPS WHICH SHALL BE ADHERED AND SEALED IN PLACE WITH VAPOR BARRIER ADHESIVE. THREE-INCH-WIDE FOIL REINFORCED KRAFT TAPE SHALL ALSO BE USED AT SEAMS, JOINTS, PUNCTURES AND PENETRATIONS. SHEET METAL TRANSITIONS AND FITTINGS SHALL BE NEATLY INSULATED WITH INSULATION BLANKET CUT-TO-FIT AND SECURED OVER ENTIRE SHEET METAL SURFACE. INSULATION THICKNESS SHALL BE 1-1/2 INCHES. VOLUME CONTROL DAMPERS

VOLUME CONTROL DAMPERS SHALL BE FACTORY FABRICATED, OPPOSED BLADE, MULTI-LOUVERED TYPE CONTROLLED FROM A SINGLE POINT WITH AN ADJUSTABLE LOCKING QUADRANT. PROVIDE RUBBER GASKET ON OUTSIDE OF DUCT TO PREVENT AIR LEAKAGE AROUND DAMPER SHAFT. DAMPERS SHALL BE MOUNTED IN A HEAVY GAUGE GALVANIZED STEEL CHANNEL FRAME. DAMPER BLADES SHALL BE NOT LESS THAN 16 GAUGE GALVANIZED DIE-FORMED STEEL. RECTANGULAR VOLUME CONTROL DAMPERS SHALL BE AS MANUFACTURED BY AIR BALANCE INC. (MODEL AC-2), LOUVERS & DAMPERS INC. (MODEL VCD-400), OR APPROVED EQUAL.

ROUND VOLUME CONTROL DAMPERS SHALL BE FACTORY FABRICATED SINGLE BLADE, CENTER PIVOTED, CONSTRUCTED OF MINIMUM 20 GAUGE GALVANIZED SHEET STEEL, CONTROLLED FROM A SINGLE POINT WITH AN ADJUSTING DEVICE, UNITED MCGILL (MODEL SRSVL), AIR BALANCE INC. RETURN GRILLES AND REGISTERS

GRILLES AND REGISTERS SHALL BE FABRICATED FROM STEEL WITH HORIZONTAL STEEL LOUVERS, SPACED 3/4" ON CENTERS AND FIXED AT 35 DEGREES' DEFLECTION. GRILLES AND REGISTER FACES SHALL HAVE OFF-WHITE BAKED ENAMEL FACTORY PAINTED FINISH. GRILLES AND REGISTERS SHALL BE TITUS SERIES '350RL', OR APPROVED EQUAL BY PRICE OR KREUGER. ( NEW GRILLES AND REGISTERS ARE TO MATCH THE LOOKS OF THE EXISTING ).

AUTOMATIC TEMPERATURE CONTROL (PNEUMATIC EXTENSION)

PROVIDE AUTOMATIC TEMPERATURE CONTROL SYSTEM COMPONENT, PIPING AND ACCESSORIES REQUIRED TO PROVIDE AUTOMATIC CONTROL OF THE AIR HANDLING UNIT AND HOT WATER REHEAT COILS. CONTROL COMPONENTS SHALL BE AS MANUFACTURED BY JOHNSON CONTROLS, OR APPROVED EQUAL.

CONTROLS SHALL BE FURNISHED AND INSTALLED BY AN ATC SUBCONTRACTOR RESPONSIBLE TO THE HEATING CONTRACTOR OR BY QUALIFIED ATC TECHNICIANS EMPLOYED BY THE HEATING CONTRACTOR. SUBMIT QUALIFICATIONS OF TECHNICIANS OR SUBCONTRACTOR TO THE ARCHITECT FOR APPROVAL. CONTROL AIR SOURCE: CONNECTIONS SHALL BE MADE TO EXISTING ATC SYSTEM COMPRESSED AIR LINES AND EXTENDED AND CONNECTED TO NEW COMPONENTS. EXPOSED COMPRESSED AIR LINES SHALL BE HARD TEMPERED COPPER OR FIRE RESISTANT DEKORON "FR" POLYETHYLENE TUBING IN EMT, TROUGHING OR METAL RACEWAY. ACCESSIBLE CONCEALED COMPRESSED AIR LINES, INCLUDING THOSE IN ACCESSIBLE PIPE SPACES AND ABOVE CEILING, SHALL BE DEKORON "FR" POLYETHYLENE TUBING, UNLESS INDICATED OTHERWISE HEREIN, OR APPROVED EQUAL. AIR LINES IN RETURN AIR PLENUMS SHALL BE HARD TEMPERED COPPER. FITTINGS SHALL BE OF THE STREAMLINE TYPE. COMPRESSED AIR LINES SHALL BE RUN CONCEALED IN THE BUILDING CONSTRUCTION IN FINISHED SPACES. AT THE EXPIRATION OF THE COMPRESSED AIR PIPING INSTALLATION, A PRESSURE TEST OF 20 PSIG SHALL BE PLACED ON THE SYSTEM AND MAINTAINED FOR A PERIOD OF 12 HOURS. AT THE EXPIRATION OF THIS TIME, A LOSS OF NOT MORE THAN 2 PSIG SHALL BE PERMITTED.

PNEUMATIC THERMOSTATS: ROOM THERMOSTATS SHALL HAVE THERMOMETERS GRADUATED IN DEGREE FAHRENHEIT. THEY SHALL BE MOUNTED ON WALL PLATES AND SHALL BE FITTED WITH CONCEALED ADJUSTMENT COVERS. ROOM THERMOSTATS SHALL BE OF THE DUAL TEMPERATURE TYPE EQUIPPED WITH ADJUSTABLE SENSITIVITY AND AUTOMATIC CHANGEOVER. THERMOSTATS SHALL BE INDEXED REMOTELY FROM "OCCUPIED" TO "UNOCCUPIED" AND VICE VERSA, BY CHANGING THE MAIN AIR PRESSURE AND SHALL HAVE A PUSH BUTTON FOR "UNOCCUPIED OVERRIDE."

A. ROOM THERMOSTATS SHALL BE MOUNTED WITH CENTERLINE APPROXIMATELY 4'- 0" ABOVE FLOOR LEVEL, UNLESS INDICATED OTHERWISE.

B. PNEUMATIC THERMOSTATS SHALL BE PROTECTED WITH LOCKABLE "LEXAN" PLASTIC GUARDS SECURELY ANCHORED TO WALL CONSTRUCTION. WIRE GUARDS ARE NOT ACCEPTABLE.

TESTING, ADJUSTING AND DEMONSTRATION TESTING SHALL BE AS SPECIFIED AND IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE AFOREMENTIONED CODES AND BEST TRADE PRACTICES.

AT THE COMPLETION OF THE WORK AND BEFORE FINAL ACCEPTANCE, PLACE PIPING, DUCTWORK AND EQUIPMENT IN PROPER OPERATION, ADJUST EQUIPMENT, VALVES AND CONTROL SYSTEMS AND MAKE CORRECTIONS. LEAKS, FAULTY EQUIPMENT AND POOR WORKMANSHIP SHALL BE REPAIRED OR REPLACED. CONCEALED LINES SHALL BE TESTED PRIOR TO CONCEALMENT. EXISTING REVISED PIPING SYSTEMS SHALL BE TESTED SIMILAR TO THAT SPECIFIED FOR NEW PIPING SYSTEMS. WORK, EQUIPMENT AND SYSTEMS SHALL BE COMPLETE, SHALL BE OPERATED PROPERLY AND SHALL BE FREE FROM DEFECTS BEFORE FINAL PAYMENT WILL BE MADE.

WITH APPROVED SUPERVISORY EMPLOYEES, DEMONSTRATE TO REPRESENTATIVES OF THE ARCHITECT AND THE OWNER THAT SYSTEMS AND EQUIPMENT PERFORM IN ACCORDANCE WITH THEIR SPECIFIC USE AS A PART OF THE OVERALL SYSTEM AND IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE CONTRACT REQUIREMENTS AS EVALUATED AND INTERPRETED BY THE ARCHITECT OR HIS REPRESENTATIVES. THE DEMONSTRATIONS SHALL CONTINUE UNTIL THE SYSTEMS OPERATE SATISFACTORILY AS DETERMINED BY THE ARCHITECT AND HIS REPRESENTATIVE. PROVIDE CORRECTIVE WORK AS REQUIRED TO DEMONSTRATE AND PROVE THE SYSTEMS AND EQUIPMENT PERFORM IN AN APPROVED MANNER.

BALANCING OF AIR AND WATER SYSTEMS

AIR DISTRIBUTION SYSTEMS INSTALLED UNDER THIS CONTRACT SHALL BE BALANCED UNDER THIS CONTRACT. BALANCING AND SUPERVISION OF BALANCING SHALL BE PERFORMED BY QUALIFIED AND SKILLED PERSONNEL EMPLOYED BY AN APPROVED INDEPENDENT BALANCING FIRM FUNCTIONING AS A SUBCONTRACTOR TO THE HEATING CONTRACTOR. BALANCING FIRMS SHALL BE AABC OR NEBB CERTIFIED AND SHALL HAVE HAD EXPERIENCE ON SIMILAR SIZED PROJECTS. PAST PERFORMANCES AND QUALIFICATIONS OF THE PROPOSED BALANCING FIRM SHALL BE SUBMITTED TO THE ARCHITECT FOR REVIEW AND APPROVAL.

PREBALANCING CONFERENCE: MEET WITH THE OWNER'S AND THE ENGINEER'S REPRESENTATIVES TO OBTAIN APPROVAL OF THE TESTING, ADJUSTING, AND BALANCING STRATEGIES AND PROCEDURES PLAN TO DEVELOP A MUTUAL UNDERSTANDING OF THE DETAILS.

SUPPLY AIR AND RETURN AIR SYSTEMS SHALL BE ACCURATELY BALANCED BY MEANS OF A VELOMETER TO THE CFM NOTED ON THE DRAWINGS AND THE DAMPERS AND REGISTERS SECURELY LOCKED INTO POSITION. DUCT SYSTEM ACCESSORIES SHALL BE ADJUSTED AND SET FOR THE PROPER AIR FLOW QUANTITIES AND CONDITIONS AND THE CONTRACTOR SHALL ADJUST AND SET FANS, SHEAVES, DAMPERS AND ADJUSTMENT MECHANISMS. EXISTING FANS AND AIR DISTRIBUTION SYSTEMS AFFECTED BY THE WORK UNDER THIS CONTRACT SHALL BE REBALANCED UNDER THIS CONTRACT. VOLUME CONTROL DAMPERS SHALL BE SET FOR PROPER AIR DISTRIBUTION AND FOR COMFORTABLE CONDITIONS.

THE CONTRACTOR AND THE BALANCING FIRM SHALL FURNISH SERVICES FOR A MINIMUM OF TWO (2) COMPLETE ADJUSTMENTS OF THE AIR DISTRIBUTION SYSTEMS, ONE FOR THE FIRST COOLING SEASON AND ONE FOR THE FIRST HEATING SEASON. ALSO PROVIDE ONE INSPECTION PER MONTH DURING THE FIRST COOLING SEASON AND THE FIRST HEATING SEASON.

THE CONTRACTOR SHALL SUBMIT THREE COPIES OF A CHART TO THE ARCHITECT INDICATING THE CFM AT OUTLET OR INLET OF EACH GRILLE, DIFFUSER AND REGISTER.

D. STUDY AND REPORT ON NOISE PROBLEMS WHICH MAY DEVELOP IN THE COURSE OF SYSTEM BALANCING.

E. SUBMIT REPORT ON THE AIR DISTRIBUTION SYSTEMS. THESE REPORTS SHALL CERTIFY TEST METHODS AND INSTRUMENTS USED, READINGS OBTAINED, TEMPERATURE AND PRESSURE DROPS, RPM OF EQUIPMENT, AMPERAGE OF MOTORS, AIR QUANTITIES AT EACH OUTLET, SUPPLY, RETURN AND AIR BALANCING PROBLEMS ENCOUNTERED AND SUGGESTIONS. REPORTS SHALL BE SUBMITTED TO THE ARCHITECT AND SHALL INCLUDE DATA ON TESTS IN THE FORM NORMALLY USED BY AABC; HOWEVER, VARIED TO SUIT THESE SPECIFICATIONS. REPORTS SHALL INCLUDE FAN CURVES FOR THE FINAL SPEEDS DEVELOPED FROM THE FAN MANUFACTURER'S PERFORMANCE TEST DATA FOR MAJOR FANS.

BALANCING OF HEATING SYSTEMS SHALL BE PERFORMED WHEN OUTSIDE TEMPERATURE IS AVERAGING LESS THAN 30 DEGREES F. AND ON COOLING SYSTEMS WHEN OUTSIDE TEMPERATURE IS ABOVE 80 DEGREES F.

THE CONTRACTOR SHALL FURNISH INSTRUMENTS AND PROVIDE INSTRUMENTATION REQUIRED TO PERFORM THE ABOVE WORK; HOWEVER, HE SHALL SUBMIT TO THE ARCHITECT A LIST OF THE BALANCING EQUIPMENT AND INSTRUMENTS HE INTENDS TO USE. EQUIPMENT MUST BE FIRST APPROVED BEFORE BEING USED ON THE PROJECT.

ALL WORK SHALL BE COMPLETED AND ALL EQUIPMENT INSTALLED IN STRICT ACCORDANCE WITH DEPARTMENT OF LABOR SAFETY AND HEALTH REGULATIONS FOR CONSTRUCTION, OSHA, NFPA, AND ALL OTHER APPLICABLE LOCAL, STATE AND FEDERAL LAWS, ORDINANCES AND REGULATIONS. ALL FEES, PERMITS AND CERTIFICATES OF APPROVAL SHALL BE OBTAINED AND PAID FOR BY THIS CONTRACTOR.

OPENINGS MADE OR SLEEVES INSTALLED BETWEEN FLOORS, WALLS, OR PARTITIONS OF ANY TYPE SHALL BE MADE ABSOLUTELY AIRTIGHT. COORDINATION

SCHEDULE OF WORK

ARRANGE ALL WORK SO AS NOT TO INTERFERE WITH THE NORMAL OPERATION OF THE PRESENT BUILDINGS AND UTILITIES. CONTINUITY OF SERVICES

IF IT BECOMES NECESSARY TO TEMPORARILY INTERRUPT SERVICE TO ANY PORTION OF THE BUILDING OR UTILITY, THE OWNER AND UTILITY COMPANY INVOLVED SHALL BE NOTIFIED SUFFICIENTLY IN ADVANCE TO ENABLE NECESSARY ARRANGEMENTS TO BE MADE.

CUTTING AND PATCHING

INCLUDE ALL CUTTING AND PATCHING REQUIRED FOR THE INSTALLATION OF NEW PIPING, EQUIPMENT, AND ACCESSORIES, AND FOR THE REMOVAL OF EXISTING PIPING, EQUIPMENT, AND ACCESSORIES. ANY DAMAGE TO EXISTING FINISHES RELATIVE TO CUTTING OR OTHER CAUSES IN THE PERFORMANCE OF THIS CONTRACT SHALL BE MADE GOOD BY REPLACEMENT OR REPAIRS IN A MANNER SATISFACTORY TO THE ARCHITECT. ALL REPAIR WORK SHALL MATCH EXISTING OR NEW FINISHES.

DUST, DIRT AND NOISE

INCLUDE ALL CUTTING AND PATCHING AND MAKE ALL CHANGES, RELOCATIONS AND INSTALLATIONS WITH A MINIMUM OF NOISE. PROTECTION SHALL INCLUDE TEMPORARY BARRIERS AND COVERINGS. AT NO TIME SHALL THIS CONTRACTOR INTERFERE WITH THE NORMAL OPERATION OF PRESENT BUILDINGS BY ALLOWING DEBRIS TO REMAIN ON THE PREMISES.

MISCELLANEOUS IRON WORK

FURNISH AND INSTALL ALL MISCELLANEOUS IRON WORK AS REQUIRED FOR PIPING AND EQUIPMENT SUPPORTS. ALL NECESSARY ADDITIONAL STRUCTURAL STEEL MEMBERS SHALL BE FURNISHED AND INSTALLED AS REQUIRED TO SUPPORT THE PIPING WITHOUT EXCESSIVE STRESS OR STRAIN ON THE EXISTING BUILDING CONSTRUCTION. STRUCTURAL STEEL MEMBERS SHALL CONFORM TO ASTM SPECIFICATION A-36. INCLUDE ALL REQUIRED WELDING.

PAINTING

PAINT ALL NEW SUPPORTS, IRON AND STEEL WORK INSTALLED UNDER THIS CONTRACT. PAINT WITH TWO COATS OF RUST-OLEUM RUST PREVENTATIVE PAINT; FIRST COAT NO. X-60 RED PRIMER, AND SECOND COAT OF COLORS SELECTED BY THE ARCHITECT. PAINT EXPOSED PIPING, METAL WORK, ETC., WHERE GENERAL CONTRACTOR IS NOT PAINTING, WITH ONE PRIME COAT AND TWO FINISH COATS OF HIGH QUALITY PAINT, PRATT AND LAMBERT, OR EQUAL, OF COLOR SELECTED BY THE ARCHITECT. AT ALL LOCATIONS WHERE IT IS NECESSARY TO CUT AND PATCH WALLS, FLOORS, CEILINGS, ETC., ALL PAINTING AT EACH LOCATION SHALL BE PERFORMED UNDER THIS CONTRACT; COORDINATE WITH ALL PAINTING WORK INCLUDED UNDER THE GENERAL CONSTRUCTION WORK. NEW FINISHES SHALL MATCH EXISTING FINISHES. USE ONE PRIME COAT AND ONE FINISH COAT OF PRATT AND LAMBERT SATIN FINISH PAINT, OR EQUAL, OF COLORS SELECTED BY THE ARCHITECT. CLEANING

THOROUGHLY CLEAN ALL EQUIPMENT INSTALLED UNDER THIS CONTRACT AND REMOVE ALL RELATED RUBBISH AND DEBRIS. WARRANTY

WARRANT MATERIAL, EQUIPMENT AND WORKMANSHIP AND PROVIDE MATERIALS, EQUIPMENT AND LABOR TO MAKE GOOD ANY DEFECTS IN SAME WHICH BECOME APPARENT WITHIN ONE YEAR FROM DATE OF FINAL ACCEPTANCE OF COMPLETED WORK. CERTAIN EQUIPMENT WARRANTED FOR LONGER THAN ONE YEAR WHERE SPECIFIED.

INSTRUCTIONS

COMPLETE THE SYSTEMS SO THAT THEY ARE FUNCTIONAL AND OPERATING TO THE SATISFACTION OF THE ARCHITECT. INSTRUCT OPERATING PERSONNEL IN THE PROPER OPERATION, MAINTENANCE, AND ADJUSTMENT OF THE SYSTEMS.

BROCHURES

COMBINE MANUFACTURER'S EQUIPMENT BROCHURES INTO A HARD BACK BINDER AND GIVE TO OWNER. EACH MANUFACTURER SHALL SUBMIT A BROCHURE ON HIS EQUIPMENT.

WORK IN BUILDING

LOCATE AND VERIFY ALL NEW CONNECTIONS BEFORE PROCEEDING WITH THE WORK. EXPOSED FIRE PROTECTION PIPING NOT REQUIRED AS A PART OF THE REMODELED SYSTEM SHALL BE COMPLETELY REMOVED. ALL PRESENT CONCEALED PIPING NOT REQUIRED SHALL BE SUITABLY CAPPED OR PLUGGED BEHIND WALLS, ABOVE CEILINGS, OR BELOW FLOORS AND RENDERED COMPLETELY "DEAD." ALL REMOVED MISCELLANEOUS ITEMS OF EQUIPMENT, SUCH AS PIPE AND FITTINGS, SHALL BECOME THE PROPERTY OF THE CONTRACTOR AND SHALL BE REMOVED FROM THE SITE.

SUBSTITUTIONS

MANUFACTURER'S SPECIFICATIONS FOR SUBSTITUTIONS SHALL BE AS CLOSE AS POSSIBLE TO THAT SHOWN OR SPECIFIED SO THAT CLOSE COMPARISON CAN BE MADE. PROPOSED SUBSTITUTIONS SHALL BE SUBMITTED TO THE ARCHITECT FOR APPROVAL AS REQUIRED.

SUBMISSIONS

PROVIDE PRODUCT DATA AND SHOP DRAWINGS FOR ALL MATERIALS PROPOSED FOR INSTALLATION.

CROSS CONNECTIONS

THERE SHALL BE NO CROSS-CONNECTION, OPEN OR POTENTIAL, BETWEEN A SYSTEM FURNISHING POTABLE WATER AND A SYSTEM FURNISHING NONPOTABLE WATER.

SLEEVES AND PLATES

SCHEDULE 40 STEEL SLEEVES WHERE PIPING PASSES THROUGH FLOORS, WALLS AND CEILINGS. POLISHED CHROMIUM PLATED SET SCREW TYPE FLOOR, WALL AND CEILING PLATES FOR FINISHED ROOMS. SEAL SLEEVE WITH FIREPROOFING. SEAL ALL FIRE AND SMOKE BUILDING CONSTRUCTION.

ELECTROLYSIS CONTROL

WHEN JOINING PIPING OF DISSIMILAR METALS, PROVIDE ELECTROLYSIS CONTROL. FITTINGS BY CLEARFLOW, OR EQUAL.

SPRINKLER SYSTEM DESIGN

SPRINKLER SYSTEM WORK SHALL BE COMPLETED IN ACCORDANCE WITH NFPA-13, "STANDARD FOR THE INSTALLATION OF SPRINKLER SYSTEMS".

INSTALLATION SHALL CONFORM TO THE BUILDING FIRE INSURANCE UNDERWRITER'S REQUIREMENTS.

INSTALLATION BY A SPRINKLER SUBCONTRACTOR TO THIS CONTRACTOR WITH THREE (3) YEARS MINIMUM SPRINKLER INSTALLATION EXPERIENCE.

INCLUDE ALL NECESSARY SIGNS AT VARIOUS EQUIPMENT.

SPRINKLER SHOP DRAWINGS

PREPARE AND SUBMIT SHOP DRAWINGS FOR APPROVAL OF THE SPRINKLER SYSTEM, PROPERLY SIZED AND COORDINATED, INCLUDING CALCULATIONS, WITH THE OWNER'S FIRE INSURANCE UNDERWRITER'S APPROVAL, STAMPED OR INDICATED ON THE DRAWINGS, THE CONTRACTOR'S APPROVED SIGNATURE, A LICENSED REGISTERED FIRE PROTECTION ENGINEER'S STAMP OF APPROVAL, AND COORDINATED WITH ALL TRADE DRAWINGS, AS REQUIRED TO MEET ALL AUTHORITATIVE APPROVALS. SHOP DRAWINGS MUST INCLUDE ALL AUTHORITATIVE APPROVALS AT TIME OF SUBMITTAL.

SPRINKLER PIPING

DESIGN SYSTEM TO WITHSTAND A WWP OF NOT LESS THAN 175 PSI. SYSTEM SHALL BE HYDRAULICALLY SIZED BY CONTRACTOR. ALL PIPING SHALL BE SCHEDULE 40. WET FEED LINE TO THE PREACTION VALVE CABINET SHALL BE BLACK STEEL, ASTM SPECIFICATION A-53 OR A-135, WITH THREADED FITTINGS, BLACK CAST IRON, ASTM A-126. DRY SPRINKLER LINES SHALL BE SCHEDULE 40 GALVANIZED, WITH THREADED OR GROOVED-JOINT GALVANIZED FITTINGS. INCLUDE ALL NECESSARY DRAW-OFF PIPING AND DRAINS. INCLUDE CARE OF WATER DISPOSITION FOR TESTING, TO AVOID PROPERTY DAMAGE. PROVIDE HOSE END DRAIN VALVES AT EACH RISER.

PIPING ASSEMBLED WITH VICTAULIC STYLE 75 FITTINGS AND GRADE "E" GASKET ACCEPTABLE, OR EQUAL. STYLES 920 AND 920N FITTINGS ACCEPTABLE. VICTAULIC STYLES 791, 78, 07, 922, 923, AND 925 NOT ACCEPTABLE. VICTAULIC "FIT" FITTINGS NOT ACCEPTABLE.

SPRINKLERS

DESIGNED FOR WET SYSTEM; BY VIKING, VICTAULIC, RELIABLE, TYCO, OR EQUAL. SPRINKLERS MUST HAVE APPROVED TEMPERATURE RATINGS. FURNISH AND DELIVER TO THE OWNER, TWO (2) EXTRA SPRINKLER HEADS, OF EACH TYPE INSTALLED UNDER THIS CONTRACT. SUBMIT SAMPLES OF ALL SPRINKLERS FOR APPROVAL.

SPRINKLER PIPING HANGERS

UL AND FM APPROVED CLEVIS TYPE, MODERN PIPE SUPPORTS CORPORATION, OR EQUAL. EXPANSION SHIELDS NOT PERMITTED. STRAP OR SPLIT RING TYPE NOT ACCEPTABLE. SPACE HANGERS PER NFPA REQUIREMENTS. UTILIZE OTHER CLAMPS, SUPPORTS AND ACCESSORIES.

INSPECTIONS AND TESTS - SPRINKLER SYSTEM

SYSTEMS SUBJECT TO INSPECTIONS AND TESTS AT ANY TIME DURING INSTALLATION AND UPON COMPLETION OF INSTALLATION BY LOCAL FIRE DEPARTMENT, BUILDING INSURANCE CARRIER, OR THEIR AUTHORIZED REPRESENTATIVES. TESTS SHALL MEET ALL AUTHORITATIVE REQUIREMENTS, BE PROPERLY WITNESSED, AND FULL APPROVALS OBTAINED FROM PROPER SOURCES. COMPLETE THE MATERIAL AND TEST CERTIFICATES AND HAVE THEM CORRECTLY SIGNED; ALL COSTS SHALL BE INCLUDED.

PIPING SHALL BE TESTED HYDROSTATICALLY AT NOT LESS THAN 200 LBS. PER SQUARE INCH PRESSURE FOR TWO HOURS; OR AT 50 LBS. PER SQUARE INCH IN EXCESS OF THE MAXIMUM STATIC PRESSURE WHEN THE MAXIMUM STATIC PRESSURE IS IN EXCESS OF 150 LBS. MEASUREMENTS SHALL BE TAKEN AT THE LOW ELEVATION POINT OF THE SYSTEM OR PORTION OF THE SYSTEM BEING TESTED. PIPING SHALL BE TESTED WITH NO DROP IN PRESSURE; LEAKS WILL NOT BE PERMITTED. TEST PIPING AT NEW CONNECTIONS.
