The God who knows all, knows me.

Together we will be known as a Catalyst for change.

I can know my calling, because I am known.

known by

known as

known for

leading from who you are

Page 3: Catalyst Atlanta 2013

Before you were a leader. Before you had a name.!Before you had a voice, a face, or a form, you were known by God.

You have always been on His mind,!known as a member of His household, emblazoned on His hands and heart. Your significance and security is found solely!in that belonging.

Why would you exchange a noble inheritance for a pedestrian life? Why would you measure your worth through a dimly lit mirror provided by this world?!Our identity, our calling, our legacy cannot be measured with a yardstick of our own design.!

When you lead authentically, with an inner confidence birthed by your Creator, when you are willing to be true and vulnerable before God and others,!you become a leader without pretense. A leader worth following.

You can only know where you are headed, when you know where you’ve come from.

There is a voice that gently reminds you. It is fatherly and familiar. It reorients you to where you are, who you are, and most importantly, Whose you are. That you are essential. That you are Known.

The God who knows all, knows me.I can know my calling, because I am known.Together we will be known as a Catalyst for change. C ATA LY S T C O N F E R E N C E . C O M

God is incapable of changing or being changed. He is steadfast and immovable. And yet, He is always coaxing, curating, tending, tilling, farming, framing, and fixing. He is always in restoration mode, always breathing life, always painting with possibility, and always instigating change. God is most definitely a Catalyst.

As image bearers, we are called to be catalysts too. We are leaders, doers, influencers, storytellers and innovators, cultural architects, and social entrepreneurs—agents of change in our churches, in our communities, and throughout the world.

Catalyst Conference is a convergence of like-minded leaders whose collective instincts, ideas and intrepid energies are inspiring to a whole new generation.

This is more than an event. Catalyst is a movement founded and fueled by thousands who see things di"erently, and are burdened for the coming generation.

Catalyst is an immersive, experiential learning environment where inspiration is as likely to come from the person sitting right next to you as the thought-leaders on stage.

If you are looking to marinate your mind in a

mix of biblical wisdom and fresh new ideas,

this is your crowd. We welcome an eclectic

mix of seasoned sages, leadership experts, and

passionate young upstarts. We’re privileged to

host renowned business and ministry leaders, as

we offer a platform to young social entrepreneurs

who are shaping culture and asking audacious

questions with huge implications.

This learning community encourages leaders to

go home and do specific things. It challenges us

to work on the subtle heart issues and consider

leadership calibrations. It compels us to risk and

endeavor to do enormous things that require God’s

resources and presence.

Some of the very best leadership insights are born

here as God uses gifted communicators and a strong

sense of His presence to move leaders forward.

T O K N O W H I M A N D M A K E H I M K N O W N .It is our private and public declaration of allegiance, reverence, awe, and thankfulness. We are not shy to tell you that over these two days we will return again and

again to the feet of Jesus. He is our focus. He is our peace and our purpose. He is high and lifted up. At Catalyst, our anthem—13,000 strong—is powerful and echoes in our lives long after we’ve left the confines of the arena.

C A T A L Y S T I S K N O W N F O R F U N .You’ll see everything from corn hole to whack-a-mole. Dance crews to knife throwers. Acrobats to animals. Zoot suites to High Diving dudes. Why? Because you need to be distracted from the ordinary. You need to awaken your curiosity. To free your mind to big ideas. To consider impossible ideas! You need to free your senses, and throw

o" creative encumbrances. Kick start your parietal lobe with a hefty dose of WOW and let the dopamine flow.

At Catalyst, creativity is random and strategic at the same time. The outrageous antics make the profound thoughts stick. You must be here to truly get the full Catalyst experience!

At the heart of the Gospel is love. When we participate in restoring what is broken in our world, we fulfill our calling as agents of change and serve as signposts for the coming Kingdom. Catalyst is passionate about promoting reconciliation by introducing you to innovative approaches to fight injustice. Over the years, the Catalyst community has aided in bringing clean water to millions, helped lift children out of poverty, promoted an adoption movement, confronted human tra!cking and slavery, and assisted in creating lives of dignity and sustainability through microfinance funding and job creation.

We believe that to whom much is given much is required, so as leaders and influencers we carry a heavy burden to fight for the broken, the poor and the marginalized. Our goal is to continually raise awareness for projects that are impacting the lives of those in need and together push back darkness wherever it may be found.
