Nuestra Tierra Our Terroir

Se sitúa entre 700 y 1.200 mts. de altitud, de composición caliza en general y con subsuelo de carbonato cálcico.Las precipitaciones son escasas, lo que provoca el estrés del viñedo en la fase de maduración del fruto, lo que aporta gran calidad a los caldos obtenidos.

The vineyards grow at an average altitude of between 700 and 1.200 meters, with chalky soil and calcium carbonate in the subsoil.The rainfall is scarce when the grapes are ripening, thus bene�ting the quality of the grapes and ultimately the wine.

Nuestros Viñedos Our Vineyards

Con 1.200 has de viñedos propios, todos ellos certi�cados como ecológicos nos convierten en la mayor producción ecológica de Europa. Mureda posee cepas de más de 30 años, lo que se traduce en vinos de mayores cualidades organolépticas. Los viñe-dos se hallan repartidos entre los Campos de Montiel, los Campos de Calatrava y la Sierra de Alcaraz.Las características del suelo favorecen el cultivo de uvas autóctonas (Tempranillo, Garnacha,…), así como varieda-des foráneas (Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah, Merlot, Chardonnay,…).

The Estate comprises 1.200 hectares of organic vineyards, being the largest area of this type in a single Estate in Europe. Mureda has vines more than 30 years old, which are excellent for the production of wines with the best organo-leptic characteristics. The terrain favours the growing of the native varietals (Tempranillo, Garnacha,…), as well as the international varietals (Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah, Merlot, Chardonnay,…).

The winery is specially designed for the elaboration of both small and large vini�cations.For the elaboration of the wines, the winemaker may choose to use either fermentation pools of 10.000 litres or tapered tanks of 35.000 litres, all of them with the Pisat system.The latest technology has been designed to develop non-aggressive winemaking processes.

Nuestra Bodega Our Winery

Diseñada para producir pequeñas y grandes vini�caciones. Nuestro enólogo puede decidir si usar los lagares de 10.000 litros o los depósitos troncocónicos con capacidad de hasta 35.000 litros, todos ellos con sistema Pisat.

La maquinaria, de última generación, está dise-ñada para llevar a cabo procesos de elaboración poco agresivos.

Mureda cuenta con un amplia gama de vinos, todos ellos ecológicos, que incluye coupages y vinos monovarieta-les. Además, Mureda ha sido pionera en el lanzamiento de los primeros y únicos vinos espumosos elaborados por el método tradicional de la D.O. Valdepeñas. Desde sus inicios, Mureda ha apostado por abrirse camino en el mer-cado internacional, estando presente en la actualidad, en más de 30 países de los 5 continentes.

Mureda has a wide range of organic wines, including coupage and single-varietals. Moreover, Mureda has been the pioneer in developing unique sparkling wines, produced by the traditional method, under Valdepeñas D.O., the range of Mureda Cuvee. From the beginning, Mureda has sought out International trade. Nowadays, Mureda is present in over 30 countries across 5 continents.

Desde el año 2011, Mureda cuenta con la certi�cación de calidad y seguridad alimentaria IFS (International Food Standad) y BRC (British Retail Consortium). Además, Mureda está certi�cada como bodega ecológica por el Servi-cio de Certi�cación CAAE, y nuestros vinos se elaboran bajo cuidadas prácticas reguladas por este Organismo pero aportando al proceso de elaboración las tecnologías vitícolas más innovadoras. Todo ello convierte a Mureda en una empresa respetuosa con el Medio Ambiente.

From 2011, Mureda is certi�ed by IFS (International Food Standard) and BRC (British Retail Consortium). Furthermore, Mureda is certi�ed as organic winery by the certi�cation service, CAAE. Our wines are produced under a code of practice regulated by this Organization, whilst using state-of-the-art technology. Thus, Mureda is a company respectful towards the enviroment.
