Purpose of this Pathway

The purpose of the university pathway is for me to get the post-secondary education I need to become a doctor. I will take the health sciences program so I can get into a specialized school. There are many courses that I would take to ensure that I get to where I want to be.

The health sciences department’s goal is to give its students the approach to study through a combination of biology, chemistry, psychology, math, and applied health courses.

How Can I Pay for This?To pay for my post-secondary education I am

getting it partially paid for by my parents, but I will have to apply for student loans, work summer jobs and pay it off once I start my actual career.

You can apply to OSAP for a student loan(Ontario Student Assistance Program) roughly half of the students receive loans. Also students may apply for Canada Study Grants, based on financial standing and Academic merits.

OSAP• Loans are interest free• Repayment begins 6

months later• It helps students whose

families have a lower income get an education

want to take• There are many required courses in the health

sciences program such as:– Health Issues, Unifying Life Processes, Psychology, and

Calculus for the Natural Sciences. These all need to be taken in the first year of university.

– I would also take biology and chemistry courses, maybe kinesiology courses.

Employment Opportunities After Completion
