Capturing Movement
Elements
• Shutter speed controls how movement is recorded.
• Direction, speed and distance-influence how the action is recorded.
• A fast ISO will allow good depth of field while also capturing the action.
• Three ways to capture movement: pan, show and stop.
Pan action
• Pan action-Subject in focus-background blurred
• Method- 1.Use a slow shutter speed (1/60) 2. Set shot up-pre-focus, zoom
etc. 3. With the subject moving
perpendicular to you follow with camera and press the shutter release while following through the movement. Stand firm and use a smooth swinging motion from the hip.
