RH LAW 10354 IS A GRAND M OCKERY AND D ECEPTION ;

W E W ILL BATTLE IT AND PREPARE TO D EFEND HU M AN LIFE,

M ARRIAGE, FAITH AN D M ORALS AGAIN ST THREATS THAT FOLLOW

Congress just passed Repub lic Act No . 10354, ot her w ise know n as AN ACT PROVIDING FOR A

NA TIONAL POLICY ON RESPONSIBLE PARENTHOOD AN D REPRODU CTIVE HEALTH, ear lier kn ow n as t he

RH Bi l l . The President signed t h is measure into law last Decem ber 21, 2012.

This law, w hich, at f i rst, appears to h ave accom m odat ed num erous object ions to t he then RH Bi l l, is

a g rand decept ion , wh ich m akes the law even m ore dangerous.

Fi rst , wh i le it be la ted ly accomm odated the guarantee o f p ro tect ion o f t he l i fe o f the unborn a t

conception, and expressly provides that access to ab ort i facients are excluded f rom the def in i t ion of

repr odu ctive healt h r ight s (Sectio n 4 , s), NOW HERE DOES THE LAW PROVIDE ANY PENALTY fo r t ho se

w ho d ispense, se l l , d ist r ibu te o r use abor t i facien ts o r p revent t he im p lan ta t ion o f the zygote in to the

uter us. In oth er w ords, i t is nothing but an insincere, d ishonest, and pol i t ical LIP SERVICE to t he sancti ty

o f hum an l ife , a consue lo de bobo to t hose w ho or ig inal ly ob jected bu t w ho w ere car r ied aw ay inthe f ina l vo te by the lobby m oney and perks o f t he admin is t ra t ion . In o ther w ords, in te rm s o f

pret ending t o pr otect hum an l i fe, the RH Law is a BIG JOKE.

The fact of l ip service and insincer i ty is m ost graphical ly expressed in the last paragraph of Section 2

(Declarat ion of Pol icy) w here i t provides th at t he The State shall a lso PROM OTE openness to l i fe ;

PROVIDED, That parents br ing for t h t o the w or ld only t hose chi ldren w hom they can ra ise in a tru ly

hum ane way. W hat in the w or ld is openness to l i fe ? I f you are open, can you a lso c lose i t , i f the

conceiving or pregnant w om an cannot assure th at she can ra ise the chi ld in a tru ly hum ane way ? This

is not hing but sheer and simple m ockery.

conscientious objector w i l l be ei ther f in ed or im pr isoned (par. 3 of Sec. 23).

to po ver ty , the law sur rendered to the lobby m oney o f f o re ign drug compan ies wh ich are now assuredof a s teady incom e by t he purchase o f the Ph i l ipp ine government o f p i l l s and o t her a r t i f i c ia l met hods

and devises of b ir t h contr o l .

Pregnancy and chi ldren, w hich used to b e view ed as blessings, are now treat ed as a danger and a

disease under t he law i f i t is the poor t hat conceives or gets pregnant. I t threat ens to reduce our

greatest resource, which is our peop le, by populat ion contr o l . For t he real reason of povert y are socia l

in just ice , cor rup t ion and fo re ign dom inat ion .

W e, mem bers of the CAPH-LIFE, who b el ieve in God, now consider i t our m oral duty to o ppose or

undo t h is law by lawfu l o r Const i tu t iona l and peacefu l m eans under the Bib l ica l maxim w e m ust obey

God ra ther than m en (Acts 5 :29).

W e a lso hereby m an i fest t ha t w e know tha t t here are several m ore b i l l s in the p ipe l ine wh ich are o f

the sam e spir i t and or ient at ion, am ong ot hers, the divor ce bi l l , sam e-sex m arr iage, legalizat ion o f

prost i tu t ion , death w i th d ign i ty o r m ercy ki l ling , and o thers , wh ich we now are prepar ing to oppose.

W e declare th at, as God gives us the courage and t he strength, w e shal l f ight to pro tect and preserve

hum an l i fe, especia lly of t he unbo rn at conception, as wel l as the f am i ly, m arr iage, fa ith, and m orals of

th e peop le against al l insidio us and sneak attacks such as thi s RH Law .
