One of the values of our Association is Collaboration…Do More Together.

We experience collaboration every week through the generous donations to the Baptist Center Food Pantry and Clothes Closet. Donations of financial support, food, hygiene items, clothing, and volunteers are provided through our SYBA churches!

In May, a tornado touched down in Iredell County, and a family experienced SYBA collaboration at the Baptist Center and at her destroyed home. This family consisting of a single mom, her children, and her disabled mom received assistance through the Food Pantry and Clothes Closet, but most of all she received love, support, and words of encouragement from volunteers representing 10 SYBA churches! Volunteers from six SYBA churches also helped with removal of downed trees for her family as well as some of her neighbors.

Thank you for doing more together!

SYBA Fair Ministry Many opportunities are available during the SYBA Fair Ministry to serve and share! Meals will be served to the traveling fair workers beginning Friday, September 1, through Saturday, September 9. Special hygiene bags will be prepared and given to the workers as well as an opportunity for them to choose clothing, shoes, and blankets. Free hair cuts will be provided, & volunteer Laundromat Buddies will meet the workers at C&H Laundry to help them with their laundry. If you would like to be a part of this unique ministry designed to share the love of Jesus in words, actions, and deeds, please contact Mary Jane Hoover: [email protected] or 703-873-4372 ext. 3.
