• Be sure that your name on your application form matches the name on travel document

• Passports are the recommended travel document and may take up to eight weeks or longer to process

• Non-Canadian citizens may require special visas or other travel documents

• Obtaining proper travel documents is the travelers’ responsibilities

• Please ensure your travel documents are valid for 6 months after your scheduled return date. You can be refused at the border.

Keep the following in mind:• There are EARLY mornings EVERY day…no exceptions• There is A LOT of walking• The days are planned from start to finish• This is a group trip. You must stay with the group, even if

you are not interested in the activity. This includes the adults.(This is not a shopping trip)

• It is a school trip – school rules still apply and tour directors will not tolerate inappropriate behavior

• It is hot…if you don’t like the heat you may not enjoy this trip.

• You must be flexible with the travel dates 4 days each way.• We do not get travel dates, hotels, etc. until within the 14-

30 days prior to travel. If you are not able to be flexible, we can not give you definitive dates until very close to the trip….keep this in mind

• Custody issues

Fundraising

• There will be NO recycling through the school this time. You may recycle on your own but it will not double through the school account.

• Sears catalogues – possibility but not planned, if groups are looking for partnerships

• Any fundraisers must be approved by the school council and cannot interfere with school fundraising. Maximum of 2 approved.

Selection Process

Spaces are determined by the following:

1) Seats on the bus (1 bus vs. 2 buses)

2) Rooming arrangements

3) Male/female rooms

4) Behavior – children who have suspensions

(bus or school) will not be considered

5) Rooms upgraded (optional, we would

prefer to be able to place kids with you)

6) Rooming requests

In the event we have more applicants than spots and all applicants qualify….

names will be drawn.

APLICATIONS DUE: Friday, Nov. 6, 3:15pmApplications received after that time will be waitlisted.

PASS DIRECTLY TO MRS. CRITCH before class, at recess, lunch or after school

Do NOT pass application to your child’s teacher or the office

Notifications will start to go out the following week and continue until all spots are full. This may take a couple weeks. Be patient. You must confirm ASAP. Once you accept, we will

send you the registration tour number. Once you have the password you have one week to register. If that date passes,

your spot will be offered to the next person on the list.
