Introduction

Ready access to testing and calibration services is essential for industry to prove the quality of its products and hence compete effectively, both in Europe and globally. In 1994 a Directory of Calibration and Testing Services was published, marking the first comprehensive listing of organisations providing calibration and testing services across the island, North and South.

The 1994 Directory of Calibration and Testing Services has now been updated and is available here in an on-line format. The updated Directory has been compiled by InterTradeIreland in conjunction with Invest Northern Ireland and Enterprise Ireland. This Directory is a key business resource, providing a list of organisations that supply technical services across a range of sectors. The accredited services available from each organisation have been highlighted as the use of recognised standards and verifiable procedures provides for confidence in the safety, quality and environmental acceptability of products and processes.

The Directory contains information on the services of more than 140 organisations and covers many diverse technological fields. The Directory is divided into two parts:

Part 1 Calibration

Part 2 Testing

Both parts begin with entries for each organisation presented in alphabetical order. The entries list the calibration and testing services of the organisation. For accredited activities, details of the accrediting body and level of accreditation are provided.
