Though at times challenging, the Main Street construction and beautification project is complete and Waunakee is once again on the map! New businesses have opened and several long time businesses have completed or have plans in the works to upgrade their facades. Driving down our newly paved Main Street in the evening with the snowflakes on the light posts is truly a beautiful sight. For some, 2014 included closures, relocation, and loss. YOUNG PROFESSIONAL AWARDThe Waunakee Area Chamber honors an emerging leader in theChamber within the community who strive toward the highest levels ofpersonal and professional accomplishment, who excel in their chosenfield, devote time and energy to the Chamber business community andthe community as a whole in a meaningful way. This young businessperson serves as a role model to professionals between the ages of 25­40. Troy Salisbury of State Farm was the 2014 recipient and will bechairing the Young Professionals Committee.
