• Edward Craven Walker invented the lava lamp

• Originally called Astro Lamp

•The idea came from Germany, bout two Americans bought the idea

•Productions came from Chicago

Twister!

Twister is a game played on a large white mat with four rows of different colored dots—red, yellow, blue, and green. The spinner is spun to indicate which hand or foot is to be placed on which colored dot.

Twister is the first game to be played using human bodies as game pieces.

Twister was criticized as being called “sex in a box”, claiming it was not an appropriate game.

GI Joe•A line of action figures produced by HASBRO

•Started with the main 4• Soldier (Army)• Action Sailor (Navy)• Action Pilot (Air Force)• Action Marine (Marines)

The members of the GI Joe team are not superheroes. They are specialized in the areas of martial arts, weapons, and explosives.

They are the creation of the term “action figure.”

Barbie Dolls•A fashion doll created by Mattel Inc.

•The very first Barbie Doll sported a black and white zebra striped swimsuit with a signature top notch ponytail.

•She was either available as a blonde or brunette.• She is most commonly seen as

a blonde doll.

Barbie is from the fictional town of Willows, WI.

Another doll, the Ken doll, was created later on to pose as Barbie’s boyfriend.

• Started in 1963•H.R. Ball first drew it• He did it because he was

asked to something to make employees happy

Commonly represented in yellow.

• It is the representation of a smiling human face :)

• It has even caused some controversial cases throughout its years of existence.

Peace Symbol•Created by the Campaign for Nuclear Disarmament

•The design was completed on February 21, 1958.

•The symbol represents peace throughout the world.

•It was created as the modern symbolization of peace, replacing the dove and olive branch.

•It is also closely related with the “V” hand sign.

•1966 the Jell-O “No Bake” desert line was launched
