Romo collaborates with distinguished rug maker Louis de Poortere to produce a collection of eleven beautiful flat weave and hand tufted rugs.

Through an exclusive collaboration with renowned rug manufacturer Louis de Poortere, Romo has designed an exquisite eleven piece collection of textural flat weave and deep pile, hand tufted rugs, featuring timeless Romo designs from recent launches.

The foundation of the Romo brand is shaped from generations of experience in textiles and distinctive, contemporary British design. Working closely with the expert weavers of Louis de Poortere, the Romo design team has beautifully translated a selection of their most popular designs into this stunning new collection of rugs.

Contemporary and sophisticated, combinations of bold and subtle designs such as large-scale florals, on trend geometrics and ethnic patterns are presented in vibrant and neutral shades to create a considered and diverse collection. Careful consideration was taken when translating each design and which quality of rug it was best suited to. Hand tufted rugs have a deep, luxurious pile that gives each design a wonderful depth and richness, accentuated by hand cut detailing, while flat weave rugs are woven with a sumptuous cotton chenille for an alluring tactile quality.

With a reputation for quality in design and materials, Romo felt a natural affinity with established rug makers Louis de Poortere and were excited to work with a company that shared the same appreciation for quality craftsmanship. Based in Belgium since 1859, Louis de Poortere’s heritage is built on the unique talents of Flemish weavers and a longstanding tradition of a requirement for quality in production, combined with an aspiration for progress and the need to explore innovation and technology.

The Romo rug collection will be available through retailers and interior designers worldwide from early 2018.
