Facts:1: Badgers fur color in iowa is mainly gray.2: Badgers skin is 70 cm long.
C is for coyotes
Facts:1: Coyotes are increasing in north iowa.2: They are members of the canine family.
D is for deer
Facts: 1: Deer can be found in Iowa and all
around the world. 2:Male deer are called bucks,bulls,stags
or hearts.
E is for eastern goldfinch
Facts:1: The eastern goldfinch is Iowa’s state
bird.2: The American goldfinch ranks high in
popularity.
F is for fields
Facts: 1: Iowa has 22 types of soil. 2: Iowa thrives on our fields to keep up
our corn/beans.
H is for hunting
Facts: 1: Iowa’s deer heard numbers are
aproximently 200,000 after a full hunting season.

Kalona area. 2: The Kalona town began in the 1840s.

Facts : 1: We have a lake named Okoboji. 2: There is catfish,bluegill,carp,ect in the
lake.

Facts: 1: Missouri River is the 15th longest river. 2: The river is the Iowa and Nebraska
border.
N is for Nashville iowa
Facts: 1: Nashville is close to the home of the
American Pickers. 2: There is a lot of field land in nashville
for corn and beans.
O is for oak tree
Facts: 1: The oak tree is Iowa’s state tree. 2: It signifies power and strength.
P is for pheasants
Facts: 1: Male pheasants are called roosters. 2:They will range in weight from 3-4
pounds.
Q is for quimby
Facts: 1: Quimby was officially set up on
October 3 1887. 2: The town was renamed Quimby after
Windall.
R is for river
Facts: 1: The Des Monies River goes through
Iowa. 2: It is 525 miles long.
Facts: 1: We get a lot of snow in Iowa so we use
snowplows. 2: We also have fun in the snow by
snowmobiling.
S is for snow
T is for teachers
Facts: 1: More than 40,000 educator are
helping all students from kindergarten to college.
2: Iowa is home to over a half a million students.
U is for udell
Facts: 1: Udell has a high school that is named
Moulton Udell high. 2 Udell schools have baseball, basketball
, ect.
V is for Villisca Iowa
Facts: 1: There was a bad axe murder in 1912
at a house in Villisca. 2: Eight people got murdered in their
beds.
X is for x ray Tec schools
Facts: 1: Becoming an x-ray tech requires that
you first complete your healthcare. 2: Students who are interested in
becoming an Iowa x ray technician have a number of nationally accredited online x-ray tech schools.
Y is for Yorktown Facts: 1: Yorktown has a Colonial Historical
Park. 2: It is generally humid especially in the
summer months.
Z is for zearing
Facts:
1: In Zearing 93 percent of the families drive to work.
2: Zearing was founded on October 18, 1881.
