Monitoring of losses

§ Desiccation : loss of the water contained in the commodity due to evaporation

§ Physical losses due to the stevedoring activities and samplings of all kinds

§ Degradation caused by insects, mites or other pests

Benefits

§ Dessication : Bureau Veritas can thoroughly monitor the product humidity during the storage

§ Physical losses: Bureau Veritas can thoroughly monitor the losses occurring during the stevedoring operations and the samples taken on the commodities being stored

§ For the degradation caused by insects, Bureau Veritas undertakes to closely supervise the warehouses fumigation at regular intervals

The monitoring of losses is key to have a full mastery of the commodities being stored. Indeed, tropical products can loose some weight during their storage due to several parameters including:
