1.1 GENERAL INTRODUCTION

Bureau Veritas Vietnam is a 100% French owned company, established in 1998 under the Investment

License No. 2042/GP dated 6 March 1998 issued by the Ministry of Planning and Investment of Vietnam. It

is a full subsidiary of Bureau Veritas S.A., which was set up in 1828 and has now a network that covers

140 countries and includes 930 offices and 330 laboratories, with over 48,000 skilled employees servicing

400,000 customers across a wide range of end markets.

Bureau Veritas Vietnam is a professional services firm dedicated to Quality, Health & Safety,

Bureau Veritas Vietnam’s construction Clients belong to the real estate, governmental & municipal

CONSULTANCY - STRUCTURAL AUDIT

When the Client decides to install its facilities in an existing or in construction building, Bureau Veritas

Vietnam offers the possibility of studying the related characteristics of the project to ensure the compliance

of all the requirements.

If one of the Client’s buildings is suffering some kind of Structural-foundations Pathology (cracks,

settlements, deformations…), our engineers will study the problem to try to find its origin and the best ways

to solve it.

3.1 SCOPE OF WORK

CONFORMITY ASSESSMENT LEADING TO CERTIFICATION

Bureau Veritas intervention primary objective is to contribute to assure that the project quality;

safety, environmental, performance and operability targets are achieved with consideration of

time and cost requirements. Bureau Veritas project team effectively monitors hereafter project activities

according to criticality assessment and with reference to specific ingredients:

For Owners, willing to ensure quality and safety of their building or facility, willing to certify it with

recognized third-party, Bureau Veritas Vietnam is accredited to handle for the whole project the complete

design review, procurement surveillance, construction supervision, and certification.

In addition, as latest regulation stipulates that a large type of buildings has to be certified for safety (force-

bearing capacity, in use and operation of works, fire prevention and fighting, environmental, depending on

activity) by a third Party certification body: hospitals, departments stores, working offices, chemical and

petrochemical works, gas processing works, dams, bridges, etc.

The Certificate issued by Bureau Veritas Vietnam is fully

accepted and recognized by Vietnamese Authorities with regard

to the relevant Circular.
