Without your help, we wouldn't have been able to encourage our children to create art by participating in the Reflections Art Contest, make hand tiles for the school wall, collect canned food for those in need, and get the students running in the mornings before school. The teachers have mentioned how grateful they are for your help in the classrooms and how much it helps them accomplish their goals. Research show that, “When parents are involved in their children's education at home, they do better at school. And when parents are involved at school, children go farther in school and the schools they go to are better.” (A New Generation of Evidence: The Family is Critical to Student Achievement.) Thank you for the difference you're making! PTA collected over 3,500 canned items and 36 turkeys to help families in need this holiday season! We would like to thank all the families, teachers, and staff that donated this year!

I want to thank all of those who have given of their time to volunteer at Buchanan. Without your help, we wouldn't have been able to encourage our children to create art by participating in the Reflections Art Contest, make hand tiles for the school wall, collect canned food for those in need, and get the students running in the mornings before school. The teachers have mentioned how grateful they are for your help in the classrooms and how much it helps them accomplish their goals. Snow Time Shop Facts…

Our Snow Time Shop will be open December 5th-9th! Please watch for a flyer coming home with your child. You will receive a money envelope/shopping list and information on what day and time your child will be coming with their class. Students may only shop during their class assigned time or after school if they have money or with an adult from 2:40-3:00pm.

Congratulations to all of the wonderful Reflections Artists!! We had a wonderful evening filled with art and awards. In its more than 40-year history, the Reflections Program has encouraged millions of students across the nation to explore their artistic talents. PTA believes that all children deserve a quality arts education and encourages students to pursue artistic expression through participation in its annual Reflections Program. The program offers students the opportunity to create works of art for fun and recognition. Thank you to all the parents for supporting your children’s art endeavors. Running Club

Our running club is off to a great start this year!

It is so exciting to see students starting their day in

such a positive and healthy way. Running club is for

all students and we meet on the grass field to run

from 8:00-8:20am every Tuesday and Thursday

morning. Permission slips are now located in the

office if you would like to sign up. We love it when

our Buchanan Blazers go the extra mile to have a

strong and healthy mind and body.

Buchanan PTA invites you to join the PTA. Joining the PTA does not require any volunteering. Your membership helps us fund the student’s spirit assemblies, movie night, Daddy/Daughter Dance, Mother/Son Event, and much more. With your $8 membership you also receive discounts to Legoland, Aquarium of the Pacific, Enterprise Car Rental, just to name a few. A flyer and envelope will be coming home with your child this month, please return the envelope with your membership fee to your child’s teacher.
