Volunteer WorkBringing Art into The Community

While pre-teaching in Philadelphia, I was privileged to volunteer with the Urban Garden Organization. We converted litter filled vacant lots into beautiful and useful community gardens.

While student teaching at Grandview Elementary,I created this backdrop for the school musical.Volunteer Work

As part of CALM (Children and Artists Linked Through murals), I was able to help create this mural in the Pittsburgh Childrens Hospital cafeteria.

Volunteer Work

With the help of a few of my talented learning support students, we created this festive banner for a local business in Tidioute, PA.

Volunteer Work

As part of the IUP NAEA, we created a childrens alley during an arts festival.

At no expense, children could create fun, multi-cultural art projects!Volunteer Work

During another IUP NAEA project, we held an all-day contest open to the community:

During Chalk the Walk, anyone could use chalk to express opinions on a political or social issue.Volunteer Work
