HOMEWORK HELP! Mondays (No program Dec. 21, 28; Jan. 18)3 - 6 p.m. Trouble with your homework? Need some extra help? Maybe just a quiet place to work? Drop into the first floor computer lab and try BrainFuse Help Now, an on-demand tutoring program with a large number of subjects. BrainFuse also features full service practice tests like the SAT or GED. Ms. Faith will also be on hand to help!

WRITER’S WRITETuesdays4:30 - 6 p.m.Do you love to write? Would you like to learn how to write and publish for a magazine? Join us for Writer's Write! Edwin Timberlake of the Corner Magazine will be here to teach us how to write and publish for a real magazine!

GAME DAY @ MAIN! Thursdays (No program Dec. 24, 31)3 - 5:30 p.m.Come join us for an afternoon of Xbox, Wii and board games! Light snacks will be provided.

*COME JOIN MAIN LIBRARY’S TEEN TECH LEARNING LAB!Thursdays (No program Dec. 24, 31)6 - 7:30 p.m. Join us as we learn how to design, develop and code our very own video games! The master makers of Durham’s SplatSpace will be leading us as we delve into coding software such as Scratch, Twine and Stencyl.

SOUND CLUBTuesdays, Dec. 1; Jan. 5; Feb. 24:30 - 5:30 p.m.Do you love music? Join us for Sound Club! Each month, we’ll come together to discuss a different album or song! We will use iPads to share songs and discover new artists. Snacks will be served!

WHAT IS A ROBOT? Tuesday, Dec. 8 4:30 - 6 p.m.Join us as we welcome engineers from Aisymmetry, LLC to Main Library and East Regional Library in December! They will be showing and teaching us all that can be done with LEGO Robotics, in preparation for the LEGO Robotics teams that will begin at Main and East! You don’t want to miss this!

High school and middle school students tutor elementary students in reading and math. Pencils, paper and other supplies will be available on request. HOMESCHOOL LEARNING LAB FOR TEENSThursdays (No program Dec. 24, 31)9:30 - 10:30 a.m.The Homeschool Learning Lab for Teens provides homeschoolers with enriching and unique educational programming in a library setting with an emphasis on teen interest. We have fun learning, building relationships and becoming familiar with library resources. Parents are invited to facilitate sessions.

Create using their fascinating collection of materials, including fabric, cardboard tubes, floppy disks and other clean industrial discards. Unleash your imagination as you make rocket ships, costumes, robots, sculptures and more.

JUNK JAMSTuesday, Feb. 154 - 5 p.m.Join the Scrap Exchange for a creative percussion and rhythm education. Play with sound using their instruments built from buckets, pots, pans and other fantastic reclaimed materials. Anyone can participate – no drumming experience is necessary!
