Manchester Peer Review 13 individuals from 8 countries participated in June 2013. They were asked to focus on the issue of the effectiveness of existing partnership working across GM including policy makers, delivery organisations and businesses

Local Stakeholders in the Peer Review Over 4.5 days the visiting peer review team received presentations from or visited 21 different stakeholders and programmes including:• New Economy• Manchester City council• Manchester Digital Development Agency• Manchester Science Parks (including Protein Technologies and TrusTech)

Using the established peer review methodology, the report covers the following headings:- Regional Strategy- Education & Human Resources- Innovative Environment- Partnerships- Sustainability of the jobs created by the innovative

sectors

Added Value +• We developed and secured an ERASMUS+ Knowledge Alliance proposal with external

partners to develop a programme for identifying and developing innovation based skills in businesses.

• We have started to develop youth mobility exchanges between Manchester and Maramures County Council through ERASMUS+.

• Debrecen University and University of Bologna are now working with MMU on a number of research projects, the most recent being a Horizon 2020 proposal which will start in May 2015 with the topic of examining social investment models across Europe (INNOSI) and will run for 3 years.

• We are currently working with organisations in Finland on a number of projects, including ERASMUS for Young Entrepreneurs, we aim to add value to the existing contacts and networks we have with Tampere to strengthen the links between our two cities.

• We have introduced a school in Avila to a school in Salford Greater Manchester to enable them to develop ERASMUS+ school and youth projects together.

• We are liaising with Sor Trondelag County Council on a number of topics related to entrepreneurship and seeking to develop a number of links related to this topic including entrepreneurship in schools. Currently examining ‘selling’ MMU’s High Growth programmes to Norway

• We have 12 EU partners that we now understand and can work together with in the future
