Nations today are in great desperation. The prob-lems facing mankind today are insurmount-able, though men continue to try to solve them.

The great promise of God is that He will “bring forth judgment,” giving men direction and instruction to guide them. His judgment is not punishment, but rather His righteous order in which men will have to walk.

God will teach men by a prolonged process of mak-ing Himself and His order known to them. God’s purpose is not to strike men down. The prophet says,

He shall not cry, nor lift up, nor cause His voice to be heard in the street. A bruised reed shall He not break, and the smoking flax shall He not quench: He shall bring forth judgment unto truth. He shall not fail nor be discouraged, until He have set judgment in the Earth: and the isles shall wait for His law (Isaiah 42:2-4).

This is the gracious work that will lead men into knowledge of God. Proverbs says, “To receive the instruction of wisdom, justice, judgment, and equi-ty” (1:3) and “The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge” (1:7).

Today darkness covers the Earth, but God will change all that. The next thing for men on Earth is the enlight-enment of mankind. This time will be training in righ-teousness, and His judgments are His righteous order in the Earth, with Satan’s influence greatly limited. The enlightenment of mankind will place every indi-vidual under a new accountability and responsibility.

tablished in the top of the mountains, and shall be exalted above the hills, and all nations shall flow unto it (Isaiah 2:2).

The manifest government of God will then be su-preme over every government and lesser authority on Earth. The visible symbol of that government will be in Jerusalem, and all nations will assemble there by means of their representatives to obtain the blessings of the Kingdom. It is there that the out-called (Greek, ekklesia) of Israel are gathered. Isaiah continues,

And many people shall go and say, “Come ye, let us go up to the mountain of the Lord, to the house of the God of Jacob; and He will teach us of His ways and we will walk in His paths”: for out of Zion shall go forth the law, and the Word of the Lord from Jerusalem (Isaiah 2:3).

Jerusalem, today, is occupied by Jews, Christians and Muslims of foreign, Palestinian and Arab extraction. In the Kingdom of God, the Jews will be there, and it will be the capitol city of the world. Isaiah continues,

And He shall judge [set the order] among the

nations, and shall rebuke [enlighten] many people: and they shall beat their swords into plowshares, and their spears into pruning hooks: nation shall not lift up sword against nation, neither shall they learn war any more (Isaiah 2:4).

Under divine government, nations will submit to the government of God. Nations now in rebellion will become submissive to God:

His name [His reputation] shall endure for-ever [in respect to the eon], His name shall be continued as long as the sun: and men shall be blessed in Him: all nations shall call Him blessed [exalted]. Blessed be the Lord God of Israel, who only doeth wonderful things. And blessed be His glorious name for the ages, and let [cause] the whole Earth to be filled with His glory; Amen, and Amen (Psalm 72:17-19).

These blessings defy description, but the total real-ization of them is contingent upon the fulfillment of the prophecy of Habakkuk,

The Rapture:Is It Real?

by — M.B. Hammond Jr.

Man’s “best laid plans” often fail, while God’s plans always succeed. – André Sneidar

The Day of the Lord is the time frame for the second coming and personal presence upon Earth of our Lord Jesus Christ.

In my youth I learned from the late Otis Q. Sellers, Dr. E.W. Bullinger (The Companion Bible) and Sir Robert Anderson (The Silence of God) that we are living today in the Dispensation of Grace (Ephe-sians 3:2). They revealed the Acts Period as a unique, miracle-working dispensation in which “the earnest of the Spirit” (II Corinthians 5:5) was given to the be-lievers in the form of manifest gifts of the Holy Spirit to display blessings of the Kingdom of Heaven.

It is sad to me that so many devoted Christians call-ing themselves “Dispensationalists” do not see the Acts 28:28 division between the various dispensa-tions. These envision “the rapture” as the next thing in God’s prophetic plan. Their insistence on the im-minence of Christ’s return completely ignores those things that Scripture clearly identifies as occurring before the Day of the Lord.

The Darby-Scofield system of Dispensational teach-ing placed 69 of Daniel’s 70 weeks (Daniel 9:25-27) as having been accomplished before Christ’s death (see notes on Daniel 9 in the Scofield Reference Bible).

Bullinger used this concept to develop a detailed chronology of Old Testament times (see The Com-panion Bible, Appendix 50). As a result, his dates for the Babylonian captivity of the Jews and prior events are about 80-100 years in error with the best of secu-lar dating and the chronology of James Ussher. My own studies indicate that Ussher’s work is reasonably accurate up to the kings of Israel. Most dispensation-al scholars have bought into this error, though using different methods to justify their prognosis. These men present an eschatology completely foreign to the truth of the Bible.

In II Thessalonians 2:1-4 Paul declares,

Now we beseech you, brethren, by the coming [Greek, parousia, personal presence] of our Lord Jesus Christ, and by our gathering together unto Him, that ye be not soon shaken in mind, or be troubled, neither by spirit, nor by word, nor by letter as from us, as the day of the Lord [not “Christ” here] is at hand. Let no man de-ceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there be a falling away [rebellion] first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition; who opposeth and exalteth him-self above all that is called God, or that is wor-

The Real Story of Jesus Christ’s BirthAn in-depth biblical and historical look into the truths sur-rounding the birth of Jesus

by – Paul R. Pontis

For the past two millennia, religious organizations have been con-flicted and confused about the actual details of the birth of Jesus. This work contains a wealth of historical and scriptural knowledge, effec-tively displacing commonly held traditions and legends surrounding the birth of Christ. Besides being enjoyable to read, this work is also a valuable reference guide.

shipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, showing himself that he is God.

The Lord will provide a full restoration of Israel with the temple, order of worship and government in place before the Day of the Lord takes place. Dispen-sationalists have called this son of perdition the An-tichrist and have tried to identify him with vile men living on Earth in current times. They are ignorant of the fact that God is working in secret in the Dispen-sation of Grace, and He is not fulfilling prophecy at this time.

On the Day of Pentecost Peter spoke to the Jews of all nations in Jerusalem, saying,

But this is that which was spoken by the prophet Joel: “And it shall come to pass in the last days [Greek, eschatas hemeras],” saith God, “I will pour out of My Spirit upon all flesh: and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, and your young men shall see visions, and your old men shall dream dreams: and on My servants and on My handmaidens I will pour out in those days of my Spirit; and they shall prophesy: And I will shew wonders in Heaven above, and signs in the Earth beneath; blood, and fire, and vapor of smoke: the sun shall be turned into darkness, and the moon into blood, before the great and notable Day of the Lord come” (Acts 2:16-20).

It is important to note that this was only a partial fulfill-ment of Joel’s prophecy, for many of the things described

did not occur but will come later, although there were many miracles, healings and other gifts of the Spirit evident to the people. Thus, there are many things which must take place before the Parousia of Christ.

These “last days” equate to the statement in Isaiah 2:2,

And it shall come to pass in the last days [He-brew, acharyth yom; Septuagint Greek, eschatas hemeras], that the mountain [kingdom] of the Lord’s house shall be established on top of the mountains, and shall be exalted above the hills; and all nations shall flow unto it.

The verses that follow in Isaiah (:3-5) make it clear that there is to be a day yet to come when this world will be blessed by the Lord, and all of its people will come to know and love God. There will be peace over all of the Earth, and the people of Israel will be the priests of God for the nations.

This is not the Millennium, when Jesus Christ is per-sonally present as King here on Earth. It is the time of the restoration of Israel, the joining of that divided nation with David as their ruler as spoken in Ezekiel 37. It is the fulfillment of Malachi 4:1-6, a day when the Lord obliterates the proud and the wicked, es-tablishes the righteous and makes it possible for the restoration of Israel to the land. Note what God says:

Behold, I will send you Elijah the prophet before the coming of the great and dreadful [awe-in-spiring] day of the Lord (Malachi 4:5).

Clearly all of the promises that God made to the Pa-triarchs will be fulfilled.

Hosea says,

For the children of Israel shall abide many days without a king, and without a prince, and with-out a sacrifice, and without an image, and with-

out an ephod, and without teraphim. Afterward shall the children of Israel return, and seek the Lord their God, and David their king; and shall fear the Lord and His goodness in the latter days [Hebrew, achryth yom] (Hosea 3:4-5).

That day of restoration is the Pre-Millennial King-dom of God.

Jeremiah says,

“Behold, the days come,” saith the Lord, “that I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel, and the house of Judah … I will put My law in their inward parts, and write it in their hearts; and will be their God, and they shall be My people” (31:31-34).

Isaiah says, “And the glory of the Lord shall be revealed and all flesh shall see it together” (40:5), for God has planned for a time when all men will know Him. However, after a long period of blessing, men will be tested (that is what “tribulation” means).

The parable of the sower in Matthew 13:24-30, 37-43, clarifies that the tares (evil men) are allowed to grow with the good seed (righteous men) in the Kingdom, and at the time of testing the tares are burned in the fire.

Those who would frighten us with an imminent Arma-geddon make “the rapture” to be the “escape clause” for today’s church. They postulate that the believer’s reward

is to be rescued from the horrors of the vengeance of the Lord and the battle of Armageddon in this passage:

For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so them also which are asleep in Jesus will God bring [lead forth] with Him. For this we say unto you by the Word of the Lord, that we which are alive and remain unto the coming [parousia] of the Lord shall not prevent [go be-fore] them which are asleep. For the Lord Him-self shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ [martyrs] shall rise first: Then we which are alive and re-main shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord (I Thessalonians 4:14-17).

This passage describes the second coming of Christ. He is coming to rule here on the Earth for 1000 years. The battle of Armageddon follows His coming immediately:

And I saw the beast and the kings of the earth, and their armies, gathered together to make war against Him that sat on the horse, and against His army. And the beast was taken, and with him the false prophet … These both were cast alive into the lake of fire burning with brimstone. And the remnant were slain with the sword of Him that sat on the horse, which sword proceedeth out of His mouth: and all the fowls were filled

Is hell forever? Most say that the righteous go to heaven, and the wicked to hell, forever! Is this what the Bible teaches?

This book presents evidence that the Bible, in the original languages, reveals that, one day, ALL mankind will be saved. Through time our Bible translations have be-come biased through the official teachings of “The Church.” The author argues that teaching about an eternal hell slanders God, and it prevents many from having faith because the arguments in support of an eternal torment are illogical.

Would a God of love keep many souls alive forever just to torment them because 171 pp., PB

they failed to “accept Jesus Christ” in this lifetime? The author shows that the Bible does not teach this. The pur-pose of “the eons” (i.e., “the ages,” often mistranslated “eternity”) is to bring ALL mankind to the point where every knee bows before Him. This work is written with the average reader in mind.

God doesn’t sit by and “permit” various adverse or tragic situations; He actually “determines them.” – Norman P. Grubb (1895-1993)with their flesh (Revelation 19:19-21).

The loyal followers and martyrs will reign with Him (Revelation 20:4). This is not a rapture or rescue, but rather a position for those who will serve Him in His earthly reign. By the time this takes place, the tribu-lation will be over and the seven vials of God’s ven-geance will have been expended. The people of Israel, who will have been chased out of the land (Matthew 24:16-20; Revelation 12:14-17), are returned and see the mighty protection of the Lord as He saves them from that attacking army (Zechariah 12:8-14).

The idea of a “rapture” is totally foreign to the Word of God. God has planned a most wonderful blessing for all mankind with health, peace and plenty. This

Kingdom of God must take place before the Day of the Lord, and God will not bring the final testing un-til men have had every chance to know and love Him. When that happens, the “falling away” (II Thessalo-nians 2:3) marks the withdrawing of God’s restraints. Then, the events of Matthew 24, such as wars and rumors of wars, famines, and pestilences and earth-quakes in many places (:6-7), will be far more indica-tive of the end time than today’s events.

For the Earth shall be filled with the knowl-edge of the glory of the Lord as the waters cover the sea (2:14).

Isaiah further declares,

Every valley shall be exalted, and every moun-tain and hill shall be made low; and the crooked shall be made straight, and the rough places plain: and the glory of the Lord shall be re-vealed, and all flesh shall see it together; for the mouth of the Lord hath spoken it (Isaiah 40:4-5).

The glory of the Lord is the recognition and esteem due His name, in view of all that He is and will yet accomplish on behalf of men and this world. This will be a time of universal blessing for every man, woman and child.

This work does not contend for a mere doctrine; its authors are championing the revealed character of God. The gloomy cloud of theology has obscured Him from us for far too long. Tradition’s chilling mists have cooled our enjoyment of His pow-er, wisdom and grace. Religions have libeled His name, repelling the instinctive responses of our heart. Christianity has left us unable to defend His honor in the presence of His enemies. Now all of this is gone and we are able to vindicate Him in 640 pp., PB

The Grand Choreographerby — Clyde L. Pilkington, Jr.

Let them praise His name in the dance … (Psalm 149:3).

[Celestial beings,] in no less a degree than mankind, shall be reconciled in Christ. – W.B. Screws (1884-1961)

A choreographer creates dances. He de-signs sequences of movements, de-ciding what each step will be, and

then a dancer performs those steps.

The Grand Choreographer is God. It is He Who decides each step that will be taken.

The steps of a man are ordered by the Lord (Psalms 37:23).

Sometimes a father, when his daughter is very little, will place her feet on top of his own and dance all around the room with her. In these early experiences perhaps the young girl will presume that she is really accomplishing something. As she grows older, with fond memories, she realizes that all of this dancing was of her father. He was the one choreographing and executing each step; he had a firm hold on her and

was doing all of the work – he was the one danc-ing, and she was simply along for the ride.

So it is with us. In our childishness we think that Father and we are really doing some-thing grand. Later in our maturity we come

to know and understand that it is all Him. There is always the relative sense in which we

are “dancing,” but, in the absolute, it is always He Who has been “dancing” all along.

Relax and rest in the arms of your Father, the Grand Choreographer.

God’s Spirit declares our relationship to Himself in immovable declarations of divine revelation. – Clyde L. Pilkington, Jr.

Walking in the Light We HaveYour word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path … The entrance of Your words gives light; it gives understanding unto the sim-ple (Psalm 119:105, 130).

We must each walk in the understanding that we have. Anything less would be disingenuous. We must be true to the current place of enlightenment which Father has granted to us. We must also graciously al-low others this same freedom and liberty before God that we reserve and embrace for ourselves.

All the while we can  richly enjoy Christ together, accepting each other as Christ has accepted us, just where we are. We do not have to agree on anything to benefit from the mutual life of God that is mutually resident in us.

Wherefore receive each other, as Christ also re-ceived us to the glory of God (Romans 15:7).

Of course, this does not at all mean that, all the while, as divine situations would grant, we can’t seek to share humbly with others the light that we have re-ceived – and conversely be open to receive the same possible light from another.

Such was the spirit of Priscilla and Aquila, as record-ed in Acts 18. They met Apollos, and though he was fervent in spirit and mighty in the Scriptures, yet he was “versed only in the baptism of John.” So, they who took him

to themselves and expounded the way of God to him more accurately (:26).

May God grant us the fullness of His light in our walk together.

In 1995, after sixteen years of being in the “pastorate” the author walked away. He left the “religious system” by resigning from the very “church” and “ministry” he had formed. In many ways this work is a testament to these actions. This testimony was thirty years in the making – the results of a spiritual journey that the author found to be common to other saints scattered throughout the world and across history. This is an opportunity to explain why some who love the Lord no longer “go to church.” It does not seek to persuade others to do something different, but rather to be simply who and what they already are “in Him.” This is an uncovering of the truth of the church, and an encouragement for the members of His Body to enjoy the position and standing “in Christ” that they already possess, realizing that they are truly “complete in Him” (Colossians 2:10), that He alone is their Life (Colossians 3:4), and that His Life is full of freedom (Galatians 5:1).

The Outsiders: God’s Called-Out OnesA Biblical Look at the Church – God’s Ecclesia

by — Clyde L. Pilkington, Jr.

The Outsiders was very encouraging. Thanks for your thoughts and study on the true Body of Christ and the lonely road we travel at times. – MOI thank God for The Outsiders. I couldn’t put it down. Read it all in one sitting. – PA

The Outsiders has something different about it. Upon fin-ishing it an awareness has taken hold of my mind and spirit – a “knowing” that I have been afforded a special measure of His grace in just being allowed to be exposed to the truth contained within. – KS
