Mr. Syed Asif Alvi Managing Director Mr. Asif, is one of the co-founder of BHN Group. Prior joining BHN, Mr. Asif was heading Operations & Finance department of a MNC for a period of 25 years. He holds a Post Graduate Degree in Business (Operations & Finance) from United Kingdom. Recently he has completed Masters in Management from Mumbai University. Mr. Asif has brought with him vast knowledge and experience of the Shipping Industry and Business Management which has helped the company in growing smoothly and efficiently.


Mr. Aamir Hashim Director – FLEET PERSONNEL Prior joining BHN Group, Mr. Aamir was heading the Fleet Personnel Department of a major Shipping Company for more than 15 years. All matters / decision related to Fleet Personnel such as Recruitment, Interview, and Appointment etc are exclusively taken care of by Mr. Aamir. Mr. Aamir has brought with him vast knowledge and experience of the Shipping Industry which has helped the company in growing smoothly and efficiently. He is responsible for :

Ms. Shaheen Asif Syed Head Business Development, & Fleet Department As a Head for - Business Development Ms. Shaheen works to improve organization’s market position and achieve financial growth. She defines long-term organizational strategic goals, builds key customer relationships, identifies business opportunities, negotiates and closes business deals and maintains extensive knowledge of current market conditions. Shaheen works in a senior position within the company. It is under her supervision to bring the internal team, and other managers to work together to increase Business opportunities and thereby maximize revenue for the organization. To achieve this, she researches on potential new clients, present to them, ultimately convert them into our associates, and continue to grow business in the future. She also successfully manages existing clients and ensure their requirement are satisfied and positive. She call on clients, often being required to make presentations on solutions and services that meet or predict clients’ future needs. She holds a Post Graduate Degree in Business & Marketing, from United Kingdom and presently pursuing Post Graduate Diploma in Shipping from NMIS, Mumbai.

INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY Combine's commercial management service offers a full range of services from the initial fixture, voyage calculation and post-fixture operation, through to freight and charter hire collection, accounts control, appointment of agents, bunkering, Monitoring and servicing the vessel during the sea and port time ,provision of running budgets for the vessels and full running cost accounts including budget comparisons with comments, balance sheet and profit and loss statement. Accounts are provided at regular and so many others. An excellent intelligence network has been established around the world providing our principals with a competitive edge. Post-fixture work includes vessel operation, voyage calculation, the calculation and collection of hire and freight, computations of demurrage/dispatch, correspondence with charterers, appointment of agents, handling of cargo claims, performance analysis , preparing annual and monthly budget plans. The Operations Department is responsible for expediting and servicing the vessel from the very beginning of her fixture, through to the final completion of the voyage in conformity with the preparation of charter parties. CREW MANAGEMENT For any Institution to be successful, it should have dedicated and highly motivated employees. To this end all our employees regularly undergo extensive training to upgrade them to the latest trends in shipping industry. Every employee undergoes extensive screening before being hired.

Candidates thoroughly interviewed by head of Operations Department and Crew Manager An in house training program for new recruits taking into account requirements as per STCW convention 1995, as per status of India, U.K, Hong Kong, Panama and Liberia or any other flag that may choose to operate.

DP Simulator Course BHNOSPL pleased to announced opening of state of the art DP training Centre in joint venture with one of the well known and reputed Marine Training institute at Mumbai. Presently we have installed “Kongsberg KPOS” DP Simulator.

Training objectives Operator errors during DP operations may lead to expensive downtime, or even worse; accidents or incidents resulting in damage, pollution, personnel injuries or fatalities. This implies the need for a comprehensive training programme for key DP personnel along with accurate and realistic trainer systems. The Kongsberg DP - Basic Trainer is used throughout the basic and general training of DP operators.

Equipment and Configuration The training is performed at Desktop Operator Stations which comprise an operator panel connected to a standard Personal Computer. A typical configuration can be a number of Desktop Operator Stations arranged in a classroom setting with an instructor station. By means of a video switch and a projector, the instructor can show both his own and the student DP display on a video projector for assessment. All Stations normally simulate he same vessel and DP system configuration, but operate independently of each other. For maintenance purpose, all Personal Computers will be connected via a Local Area Network.

Instructor stations To setup and control a DP scenario on the Basic Trainer, the instructor has a user-friendly operator station. From his position he can control the various DP vessels, prepare the vessel conditions, sensor and power settings and introduce different type of environment conditions like; wind, waves, current to make the exercise as realistic as possible. To train critical operations the instructor can introduce different levels of faults on ship systems, power systems and thrusters as well as sensor system with noise and abnormal conditions.
