B.E.S.T. Bridges The Gap

B.E.S.T. is dedicated to being the bridge that will successfully guide each person back home to our community.

The Bridge Builders

B.E.S.T. is a program of Maui Economic Opportunity, Inc. administered in collaboration with the Department of Public Safety, and funded by federal, state, county, and private funds. The B.E.S.T. program provides comprehensive transitional support services to help individuals successfully reintegrate into our community after incarceration.

Program Goals

Reduce recidivism

Successfully reintegrate persons into our community

Increase public safety Provide support service and referrals Eligibility Requirements

Over the age of 18;

Committed Class A, B, or C felony

Length of custody: (Males) minimum 1 year or more. (Females) minimum 6 months or more

Other Services:

Substance Abuse Treatment Referral Services, Mental Health & Other Counseling Support Services / Referrals
