group. Each person in the group needs to complete a writing activity from “Main Articles”, “Supporting News”, and “Other”.

– The group needs to compile one newspaper with each of the articles included.

– The layout and creative elements are up to your group.

• New York City Draft Riots• Civil War (events around the spring and summer of

1863)• Immigration in New York City• Emancipation Proclamation• Interview-Create an article that shares views from

both sides of the Draft Riots (the wealthy and the laborer). Use characters from the story if possible.
