Comparison of three methods to detect low level of bed bug

infestations

1. Resident interview- 4 of 10 residents noticed bed bug bites

2. Visual inspection- average of 6.7 bed bugs per apartment

3. ClimbupTM interceptor after 7 days- average of 8.8 bed bugs per apartment

Conclusions of Bed Bug Interceptor Studies

• Resident interview and visual counts are not reliable.

• Interceptors are effective in detecting low levels of bed bug infestations.
