HISTORYHISTORY

The founders set out to create an organisation that was focused on three fundamental pillars: grassroots projects, education, and, what was later dubbed, InReach. They wanted to involve everyone in the poverty-alleviation struggle and educate people , and most-importantly they wanted to make a difference on the ground - with the people who really needed it. Over time, their team began to grow - with incredible people jumping on board to make this beautiful dream a reality. The End Poverty Now Society officially became a registered non-profit organisation in Canada - solidifying their Canadian NGO status. Over the coming months, End Poverty Now started to recruit more and more staff members. Everyone on the End Poverty Now team works towards the betterment of humanity; they all work for the alleviation of global and local poverty. The organisation no longer consisted of only students and young people. While still driven by the passion of youth energy, End Poverty Now was starting to reach out to all Canadians. On December 11th 2007, End Poverty Now became a registered charity in Canada. Finally, the organisation was truly established.

EPN is a continually growing force with the main office consisting of 21 staff and approximately 40 volunteer committee members.
