The weather is a very important thing in our everyday lives. The weather tells us how to dress for the day. It tells us if we need an umbrella, snow boots, or even sunglasses. In our WebQuest you will learn to become expert weather people!

When you look outside your window each morning you are looking at the weather. Your task, as weather experts, is to be able to tell the class the different types of weather by observing, drawing, and reporting it on your own weather channel. You will become actual weather people and you must give the forecast to the class!

Step 1: You will be a given a partner to work with.Step 2: You and your partner will you use the website called Weather Wiz Kids to gather information about the different types of weather and what affects the weather. (http://www.weatherwizkids.com/) Step 3: You and your partner will observe what the weather is like outside for today. For the whole week’s forecast go to the website (http://www.weather.com/).Step 4: Once you have gathered information about the weather outside you must draw a picture of what it is like and pictures for the week’s forecast. Step 5: Once you and your partner have gathered all of this information you will now make a weather show. I will provide you with a video camera and a back drop. One person

The Process

The Processwill tell the facts about the weather and the other person will give the weather for today and the forecast for the week. You will use your illustrations to give the class a visual of what the weather is and will be like. Step 6: You and your partner's video will be showed in class.
