Soup making

As part of our Harvest celebrations, we welcomed special guests including

members from Roddymoor Community Allotments and West

Lodge Residential home, to a Soup afternoon. Children have been

visiting the allotments since the Summer and have harvested and

cooked their own produce to make a delicious soup. Special thanks to Mr and Mrs Hemmingway and Mr Grogan

for their support, and to the allotment holders who contributed

produce for the event.

As part of our exciting ‘FEAT 1st’ (Families Enjoying Active Travel) project, Marcus Watson, our FEAT 1st

Officer, was in school last week to teach young children to ride a bike stabiliser free with a novel but proven method which often brings success in under an hour! Congratulations to the children from Reception, Years

1 and 2 who took part!
