Registration:All bands wishing to register for the OHS Drama Club’s event Battle of the Bands contest must read and accept the

following rules and regulations before completing the entry form.

Bands must provide lyrics with their entry form for all entry songs. These will be the only songs allowed.

There is a $10 registration fee and an additional $5 per member . Checks must be payable to OHS Drama Club.

Submit entry fee AND official entry form to the OHS Drama Club care of Hannah McAvoy p.o. box #1832.

REGISTRATION DUE NO LATER THAN SEPTEMBER 14, 2013 .

General Rules:Soloists are allowed to enter the competition and there is no minimum or maximum number of people needed to

perform. There are also no age restrictions.

On the day of the performance, band members must be dressed in clothing free from obscenities, drugs, alcohol,

sex or any other subject matter not suitable for a family audience. Band name and lyrics of performance songs

must not contain any extreme obscenities (let’s keep it PG-13 guys). Any band to submit lyrics deemed

inappropriate by pre-performance examination will be asked to omit said obscenities or make a change in the songyou plan to perform; otherwise risk disqualification. Drugs and alcohol (including tobacco) are not permitted. The

entire performance must be violence-free and suitable for families. If a band incites a mosh-pit or any other sort of 

violence in the crowd the band will be disqualified, their performance will be stopped and they will be asked to

leave the premises.

All bands agree to have their name, voice, and/or likeness used in any advertising or broadcasting material relating

to this contest without any compensation or rights to royalties for such use. Band members are responsible for the

security of their equipment. The Owosso Amphitheater Association, OHS Drama Club, or any party acting on their

behalf, will not be held responsible for any lost, damaged or stolen equipment.

Equipment and Onstage Rules:

The Owosso Amphitheater Association will provide a sound and lighting system, which all the bands will use. TheOHS Drama Club will provide all necessary stage crews. Pyrotechnics of any kind are not allowed.

All bands must follow the instructions given by the Owosso Amphitheater Association, OHS Drama Club and the

appointed stage manager. It is not permitted to use pre-recorded sound material. All bands must play live.

The total playing time for each band must not exceed the time allotted. Any band who exceeds their time limit will

risk being faded out and/or having points deducted from their final score.

Bands must arrive at least one hour before their allotted time. Any band that misses their allotted stage time will

be disqualified.

Judging and Miscellaneous:The Battle of the Bands will be judged by a panel of 5 judges, varying in age, gender and musical experience. There

will be prizes given out the night of The Battle of the Bands for 1st

, 2nd

and 3rd

place ($100, $75, and $50,

respectively).
