With the battery charging systems from the Selectiva range, Fronius is offering the most advanced solution for charging lead acid batteries available on the global

market. The Active Inverter Technology guarantees an optimal and gentle charge, while the innovative Ri charging process adapts the charging characteristic to the

age, temperature and state of charge of each individual battery. The benefits here are twofold: the service life of your traction batteries is significantly longer and you can

dramatically reduce your energy consumption.

The Selectiva devices are available with outputs of 1, 2, 3, 8 and 16kW. Each power category comprises several models, from which you can choose the most suitable

according to the voltage, capacity and charging time of your batteries.

REMoTE CoNTRoL SYSTEMIdeal for controlling and monitoring batteries, even over large

distances. The user interface can be placed up to 30 m away from the device.

CARRYING STRAp ANd CARRYING BAROur carrying systems allows for flexible use of the devices at

any location.Charging processes can thus be adapted for different locations and applications.

CoMMoN ERRoRThe common error function can be used to communicate error messages to third-party

systems quickly and easily.

RELAY BoARd, opTIoN BoxObtains information about the state of charge of the

connected battery via an external circuit. Error messages and additional features such as the Aquamatic control function, external air pump and refill indicator can also be displayed.

Ip23This option protects your battery charging

system against spraywater at up to 60 degrees from vertical. This reduces defects caused by

water ingress to a minimum.

TEMpERATuRE-CoNTRoLLEd CHARGINGAdapts the charging voltage and therefore the output according to the

temperature of the battery. This provides sustainable protection and increases the battery‘s service life. If the temperature exceeds a defined limit, the

charging process is automatically interrupted. The “external start/stop” function is included in this option.

LEd STRIp, CHARGING STATuS INdICAToRAllows you to see from far away which traction battery is being charged, is fully charged, or has cooled down and is ready for use. This helps to dramatically increase the service life of your batteries.

AquAMATIC CoNTRoLAn automatic filling system fills your battery with demineralised water during every charge. This prevents damage that can occur due to insufficient refilling.

WALL ANd FLooR BRACkETSFor simple and secure installation on the floor or on the wall. An integrated cable holder ensures charging leads are stored safely and protects them against damage.

AIR-puLS (EuW)The pneumatic electrolyte circulation system facilitates rapid and especially gentle charging of your traction batteries. Recommended for rapid and opportunity charging, to ensure controlled acid circulation.

ExTERNAL START/STopIf the charging lead is disconnected while charging is in progress, the external start/stop function prevents sparking. This reduces the risk of an explosion caused by oxyhydrogen produced during charging and reduces long term damage to the charging plug.

CHARGING pLuGDIN-compliant charging plugs from REMA or Schaltbau, as well as tab connectors, are part of our standards-compliant product portfolio. Special plugs are available upon request.

AIR FILTERProvides effective protection against dirt for the interior of your battery charging system and prevents short circuits caused by dust particles. This increases the reliability and service life of your battery charging system dramatically.

I-SpoT CALCuLAToR SMARTFronius has developed a simplified version of its comprehensive consultancy tool I-SPoT Calculator, which can be used on all end devices, such as PCs, tablets or smartphones. Simply enter a few parameters and the smart web application will find you the perfect charging system, quickly and easy. In addition, it will also calculate your potential savings on energy costs and CO2 emissions.

I-SpoT CALCuLAToRWith the lifecycle costs calculator I-SPoT Calculator, potential energy savings can be calculated for electrically-powered forklift trucks, taking into account energy costs, CO2 emissions, as well as battery and maintenance costs. As a result, the forklift truck fleets from multiple sites and different departments within the same location can be monitored and presented. The calculation tool provides the perfect basis on which a company can take decisions to optimise its fleet operation.

I-SpoT VIEWER The I-SPoT Viewer visualisation tool from Fronius creates the perfect overview of your charging data and graphically displays battery charging cycles, allowing you to analyse your charging processes quickly and easily, and in turn introduce optimisation measures as necessary. The free software also facilitates the identification of errors, such as incorrect settings on the device or battery faults. The Ri charging process marks a revo-lution in battery charging technology: unlike conventional processes, the char-ging process does not follow a fixed characteristic with a predefined cur-rent. Instead, the charging current is determined by the battery‘s effective inner resistance (Ri), which is depen-dent on the age, temperature and state of charge of the battery.

Each charging process is therefore unique and has an individual, perfectly tailored characteristic. Overcharging can thus be reduced to a minimum. This increases energy efficiency during charging while decreasing energy costs and CO2 emissions. The service life of the battery is significantly extended.

Maximum energy efficiency – The Ri charging process provides the highest level of total efficiency from the socket to the forklift truck
