The founder of Project Concern is a young doctor, JamesW. Tnrpin, who relinquished his practice in Coronado, California, to move withhis family to Hong Kong to help care for the tens of thousands of refugees fromCommunistic China. Turpin was named one of the ten outstanding young men ofthe United States in 1962 by tile U. S. Junior Chamber of Commerce.
