Throughout the Week of

A.V.P.I the subject

“Gleanings in the Book of

Ephesians” one of my fa-

vorite subjects, brought

happiness and joy in my

heart hungering to learn

more on God’s Word.

I learned about that Unity we

are called to keep (4:3) there

is that One Body, one Spirit,

one Lord, one Faith, one Bap-

tism, one God and Father of

all. It has been a blessing for

me to know more and magnify

what’s in His Word and Wow!

Ephesians is really a wonderful

Book.

Moreover, it also emphasizes

the importance of a Christian

family on how Husbands

should love their wives, and

how wives must submit to their

husbands. Paul also wrote and

gave emphasis about the

Headship of the Husband over

the wife, and Christ as the

head of the church. It also

teaches the commandment

that children should obey their

parents in the Lord. But the

thing that interested me most

As Paul the apostle, the pris-

oner of Jesus Christ, for the

Gentiles, I Juanito Dimaculan-

gan, also want to be a prisoner

to the abundant, exceeding

riches of His grace written in

His Holy Word, specifically the

Book of Ephesians.

There are so many spiritual

blessing recorded in this book.

It will help me to appreciate

this spiritual blessing.

Through this subject, I was

taught and helped to change

my character toward God's

Word, to love it more, to obey

it, share it and, praying fully

that I can apply what He had

said.

fully given for His use, I could

only imagine the things God

can perform in this country.

To be able to yield myself to

God, I should fill my heart

with love. A love that came

from a pure heart that is

washed by the blood of Jesus

Christ. A love that came from

“The world has yet to see

what God can do to a heart

totally yielded to Him.”

This saying that inspired the

famous evangelist D. L.

Moody has touched my heart.

If I totally yield my heart or if

every student’s heart this

AVPI 2015 will yield and be

a good conscience and of

faith unfeigned. (I Tim. 1:5)

If I can have a heart fully

yielded to Him and full of

charity, I know God can use

me to speak the truth to oth-

ers. To share the finish work

of Calvary and to be a bless-

ing to others. (Eph. 4:15)

Redeemer, God and Fa-

ther of all. He might have

the preeminence.

And he is the head of the

the beginning, the first-

born from the dead; that

in all things he might have

the preeminence.

Talking about the inheritance

at Jesus Christ in the saints,

talking about his exceeding

greatness, his abundant

mercy, my heart was so grate-

ful realizing, understanding

this thing.

Through this book I was able

to see the Lord Jesus Christ

and I could say glory to the

Lord Jesus Christ my Saviour,

“We pray not to

be blessed but to

have fellowship

with the Lord

Jesus Christ. “

A V P I T i m e s

There are lot of truths con-

tained in the book of Ephe-

sians. One of the lesson I

learned was the teaching of

prayer. The cause of Paul's

prayer was the faith and love

for all the saints. God im-

pressed me to pray more

seeing the faith and love of

my fellow saints. Attending

prayer gatherings taught me

to be grateful with all the

benefits God hath bestowed

upon all the saints.

.I am encouraged every time

I see the saints kneeling in

prayer. Being part of the

body of Christ it is a privi-

leged to pray and be prayed

for. With the demonstration

of faith and love I am encour-

age to glorify the Lord Jesus

Christ more. Paul's prayer

was for them to have the

spirit of wisdom and the

revelation in the knowledge

of Him.

We pray not to be blessed

but to have fellowship with

the Lord Jesus Christ. Every-

thing should revolve around

our Saviour. I realized that

the object of our prayer

should not focus on our

needs but it should be for

the glory of our Lord. The

knowledge of Him would

teach us to deny ungodli-

ness.

God is Holy and having the

knowledge of His character

would create fear in us. Hav-

ing the fear of God may we

have wisdom to discern

which is evil and to cleave to

that which is good and ac-

ceptable in His sight.

I pray that I can also say in

my heart, “By God’s grace, I’ll

be that man.”

Page 3: AVPI Times · 2015. 12. 29. · Trouble in Marriage 4 Learnings from the Book 4 I am Rich! 6 ... in the Bible that could advice me on how to run a small business and man-age my staff

in this Book, giving and setting exam-

ple of the love Christ has for the

church and the members of the body

of Christ.

For me, as a business person, learning

about forbearing threatening on my

subordinates is one challenge that I

must learn. It opened my mind and

heart that there are indeed principles

in the Bible that could advice me on

how to run a small business and man-

age my staff. These bits of informa-

tion from the Bible are so direct and I

believe I do not need to complicate it

more.

There are secular books that teach so

much about these relationship. But I

realize now that the Bible, even if it's

just from the Book of Ephesians, there

are already so much one could get

and apply to our simple day to day life.

It's only by the grace of God and the

leading of the Holy Spirit that I would

be able to do and apply these princi-

ples in the Bible.

“Just follow God’s order and the LORD will bless you.” These are the words that lingered

in my mind. An encouragement and an exhortation to me. And I thank God for allowing

me to learn more about the Authority of God, which is the only authority that never errs

and got gleanings from the book of Ephesians.

The book of Ephesians is a blessing and will be my guide. “Thy word is a lamp unto my

feet, and a light unto my path.” Psalms 119:105. Praise God for these treasures.

A very practical application for me from Ephesians 5:22-6:9 is one of the six human rela-

tionships which is for the children. As a daughter, I’ll just follow God’s order: “Children

obey your parents in the Lord, for this is right. Honour thy father and mother; which is the

first commandment with a promise;” And been reminded that Obedience is to be immedi-

ate.

One of the important things that I should also remember is that “The relationship of a man

and woman is a picture and practical demonstration of the truth between Christ and the

church which is his body: Christ is the head of the church and He is the Saviour of the

body. Christ also loved the church gave himself for it. And the church is subject unto

Christ. I thank the Lord for the very specific God-given mandates: Wives –Submit; Hus-

bands – Love; Children – Obey; Father – Bring up; Servants – Obey;

Masters – Forbear.

I really thank and praise the Lord Jesus Christ for giving Himself for

me and for His great love for me and for being my Saviour. And these

motivates me to follow God’s order and the Lord will bless me. Glory

to God.

“The world has

yet to see what

God can do to a

heart totally

yielded to Him.”

There's just so much that I could get

from the Book of Ephesians but the

part that speaks to me was the em-

phasis placed on the relationships

God designed for us.

From wives to submit to their hus-

bands, husbands loving their own

wives, children obeying their parents,

father bringing up their children, ser-

vants obeying their masters, even to

the masters forbearing threatening

upon their subordinates. All of this

have been expounded and explained

Page 4: AVPI Times · 2015. 12. 29. · Trouble in Marriage 4 Learnings from the Book 4 I am Rich! 6 ... in the Bible that could advice me on how to run a small business and man-age my staff

This is my testimony of my

experience with my wife. Her

submissive part is on and off

resulting in my heartache

every time. This trouble led

on resulting on a bland rela-

tionship toward each other.

If this kind of things continue,

it is not good and may lead to

separation. In relation to the

study of headship, if a wife

has sinned there is a fault to

the husband. Maybe I have

lacked on teaching her, but

when we try to talk about it,

she always would “change

the topic” or something like

that. It made me really upset

that led in our marriage to

lack in love. Then I went to a

conclusion that less submis-

sion has less love. Of course,

I did not want our marriage to

lead to separation that was

why I obeyed what the Bible

says that husbands must

love their wives.

Then the story on Ephesians

5: 22-23 appeared. The rela-

tion between submit and

love, husband and wife has a

connection to the Lord and

church. As a husband and

the head of my family, I rep-

resent Christ and His love

towards the church and how

He gave Himself for the

church.

designed and planned in

his fore knowledge by the

grace of God.

After the works of Jesus

Christ we inherit spiritual

blessings.

The love is expressed

through his Calvary that is

We have a spiritual bless-

ings in heavenly places in

Christ

He hath chosen us in him

before the foundation of

the world and command

us that we should be holy

I understand that God has

his grace when you be-

lieve in the Gospel .

It is freely offered and no

merit of man can contrib-

ute into it in order to be

saved we inherit many

things like redemption

and made us accepted in

live a holy life to honor God. And by obeying

God’s command we tend to yield to God and

the tendency we will not tend to seem.

God reminded us in Ephesians chapter 6 to

honor God by obeying and loving those who are

God appointed in authority or race over us. And

that we should not stand in the ways of the

devil. And so beautiful by grace supplied, our

armor of God.

Finally, by the grace of God, we have victory for

God is with us, then who can be against us.

The book of Ephesians reveals the Glory , mer-

cies of God’s Glory and the exceeding riches of

his grace to be shown in future ages and un-

searchable riches in Christ. The Book of Ephe-

sians teaches us everything we do for the Lord

and instructed us to shun evil doings, not giv-

ing place to the Devil.

The Book of Ephesians categorizes 6 human

relationships about wives, husbands, masters,

children, and servants. God is the only author-

ity in the universe, and we have to honor Him.

Especially His holiness as our pattern living a

life pleasing to God our Saviour. We have to

This is the same love a hus-

his wife. This helped me a lot

to love more and endure

more to correct my family’s

mindset and principles.

Many deceivers can poison us so if

we will not be careful deceivers

can destroy us and the local

Church.

Be ye followers of God and always

walk in love because the believers

become the children of light and

we receive the sealed of the holy

ghost that teaches deny ungodli-

ness

It also teaches us how God design

the order of the Family the head-

ship of the husband and to love

their wives as their own flesh to

train their children how to serve

God and obey Him with love and

joy to rejoice with spiritual music

in psalms and hymns.

I thank the Lord for providing our

redemption Praise God for every-

thing that He has done Amen.

would also like to thank Pastor

Bob for giving us encouragement

and rebukes in the book of Ephe-

sians. Thank you Pastor Bob for

letting God use you for His glory.

I would like to thank the Lord the

salvation He has given to me and

the Holy Spirit that indwells inside

me. Also for His Word, the Inspired

Word of God, through His Word, I

got to know more Christ, especially

in the book of Ephesians.

In every chapter of Ephesians, Jesus

Christ demonstrates His character

and attribute toward the saints. I

We’re getting busy on the lust, affairs and fashions of this world. We’re

not minding the Lord’s ability to control principalities and powers in heavenly places,

put the stars in order, take care of sparrows and even provide the air we breathe.

Nowadays, many people are trusting their own money, work, business etc., instead of

putting their trust on God to provide their needs. “Christ is so Rich!”that we cannot

fathom the unlimited quantity of his riches. May we appreciate the riches of Christ and

his glory.

of the flesh we are controlled by
