Do we have the courage to place our trust in the Lord? Peter thought he had enough courage when he stepped out of the boat as it was tossed on the waves during a violent storm. But he became frightened and started to sink. Though he began to doubt, he cried out to Jesus and the Lord saved him. When we doubt, may we look to our Savior for strength. ¿Tenemos el valor de poner nuestra confianza en el Señor? Registrations for our next baptism classes have begun. Parents and Godparents need to attend two classes that will be held on August 15th through Zoom AND August 22nd in the Church

from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Baptisms will take place during our scheduled Masses and will be ONE child per Mass.

Prayer for Healthcare Workers

O merciful Father, we pray for our nurses, doctors and all those whom you have called to study and practice the arts of

healing the sick and the prevention of disease and pain. Strengthen them in body and soul, and bless their work, that they may give comfort to those for whose salvation your Son became Man, lived on this earth, healed the sick, and suffered

and died on the Cross. Amen.

Six parishes of Brownsville have been invited to unite in prayer with the Blessed Sacrament outside

Valley Baptist Hospital. Each parish is encouraged to have 10 to 25 parishioners present and be standing in a specific

location during the service. Please wear white shirt and bring a candle. If you would like to participate,

please sign up at the entrance of the Church.
