Do we have the courage to place our trust in the Lord? Peter thought he had enough courage when he stepped out of the boat as it was tossed on the waves during a violent storm. But he became frightened and started to sink. Though he began to doubt, he cried out to Jesus and the Lord saved him. When we doubt, may we look to our Savior for strength.

May the fire of God's love burn firmly and firmly in our hearts like the golden light inside the lamp of the

sanctuary.

The Blessed Sacrament lamp for the month of August was will be lit for the intentions of Mr. and Mrs. Patricio Garza and Family.

Prayer for Healthcare Workers

O merciful Father, we pray for our nurses, doctors and all those whom you have called to study and practice the arts of

healing the sick and the prevention of disease and pain. Strengthen them in body and soul, and bless their work, that they may give comfort to those for whose salvation your Son became Man, lived on this earth, healed the sick, and suffered

and died on the Cross. Amen.

Valley Baptist Hospital. Each parish is encouraged to have 10 to 25 parishioners present and be standing in a specific
