Reminder:

Please turn in all forms to the office

No need to bring in over-the-counter medication

Mrs. Fulkerson is now an employee of the Ohio County Board of Education, rather

than the Green River District Health Department. Because of this change, she can

administer over-the-counter medication as needed by our students IF the students

have returned the consent forms signed by parents/guardians. Please make sure

your children return their medication consent forms so they can receive appropriate

health care while at school.

Faculty Spotlight:

I am Brandie Lee Hagerman the daughter of Rebecca Baird of Hartford. I am a 2010 Graduate of Ohio County High School. I played Keeper for the Junior Varsity and Varsity soccer teams at Ohio County for seven years. I also was highly involved in clubs and graduated with Honors. I graduated from Campbellsville University in the Spring of 2014. While at CU I also played soccer for Four years while completing my Bachelors. At Ohio County High I am teaching Algebra 1 and I am the Assistant Women's Soccer Coach. I am a member of Living Faith Baptist Church. I am very excited to be back in my hometown to begin my career.

Friends of Rachel Club

The goal of this club is to prevent bullying and promote random acts of

kindness. It honors the life of Rachel Scott, the first victim of the

Columbine School Tragedy. The Friends of Rachel club is sponsored by

Kathy Gledhill and the meetings will be held after school all students are

welcome. There is no fee to attend this club and meetings will be

announced. The club sponsors the Random Acts of Kindness section of

the newsletter as well as presents bullying prevention programs at the

elementary schools.

Center Advisory Council meetings. The next meeting is

scheduled for September 5, 2014 at 11:30am in the

library media center. The council meets every two

months for one hour to review services and the budget

POSTER CONTEST! ALL KENTUCKY STUDENTS ARE INVITED TO PARTICIPATE!

In honor of Kentucky's public servants, students are invited to participate in the 2014

Public Service Recognition Poster Contest. The theme of the week, "Making a difference, every day in every way," should be expressed through the artwork.

Entries will be judged in three categories. I. Ages 6-9 II. Ages 10-13

III. Ages 14-18

Winners receive a $100 award and an invitation to a special ceremony at

the Capitol in October.

Entries must be postmarked by Sept. 12, 2014.

Beaver Dam Nursing and Rehab Center

The Ohio Co Board of Ed has taken

the initiative along with the City of

Hartford, City of Beaver Dam, OC

Fiscal Crt and OC Waste Management

to encourage our students to

RECYCLE.

RECYCLE trailors have been placed outside as

well as bins in the cafeteria and lobby along

with small cans in every class. We would like all

students to participate in this wonderful

opportunity to make a difference in the future.
