Research • In this unit of work we used various research methods to

explore audio media product . Broadcast Products such as live performances , radio , TV and live broadcasts .

Research methods

• terrestrial radio is the live broadcast of radio show .• digital audio broadcasting (DAB) higher quality

terrestrial radio it is used worldwide but mainly in Europe countries.

• Live radio - is radio which is broadcasted whilst its happening for example Nick Grimshaw Listener Questions answers the questions you asked ahead of the New Radio 1 Breakfast Show .

• Recorded radio- is pre recorded so when the radio is broadcasted no mistakes can occur whilst on air.

• Commercial radio- its used to make money and isn't funded by the state for example bbc 1 do not get any money from commercial radio as they get state funding.

• Music radio – music radio is a radio format in which music is the main broadcast content.

• Radio drama- is a dramatized, purely acoustic performance, broadcast on radio or published on audio media, such as tape or CD.

• Commentary radio – As viewers listen to the radio they cannot see what's going on when live events such as football , cricket are occurring so its vital the commentator creates a atmosphere which is identical to the event that’s going on.

• Podcast - A podcast is a digital medium consisting of an episodic series of audio, digital radio files streamed online to a computer or mobile device
