ART UNIT 2.2: ELEMENTS IN NATURAL ENVIROMENT
We find different elements in the natural environment:
1. Minerals When we go for a walk in the countryside and we look at the things around us, it is not difficult to feel admiration towards that amount of beauty that exists. Trees, birds, leaves and stones with different shapes, colours, but also sounds and smells. If we learn to see, it will be easy to appreciate and enjoy all these things. A simple rock might seem to us a very normal thing but it contains different visual and plastic elements such as textures, colours, lines… And sometimes we can appreciate kinds of structures or geometric shapes.
2. Vegetables A tree is a vegetal element very close to us and fortunately it still exists in our forests worldwide. But we have to be conscious of the importance of looking after trees so that future generations can keep enjoying them as we do now. Basically, its structure follows a vertical axis and from that axis the branches emerge, behaving as a new axis and finally we have the leaves. The trees display a great and rich variety of shapes, sizes, textures and colours. Flowers, the same as trees are the main characters in Nature. Artists throughout time have represented flowers and trees in their paintings and drawings. The landscape as an art genre can be treated by artists in different ways, showing their multiple personalities.

3. Landscapes The natural environment has always produced fascination and has always caused a great interest in men, for example the beauty of the sunset, the darkness and the greenness of a forest, the storm over the mountains… The landscape has always been a source of inspiration.

4. Animals
Animals have been very important to the development of human beings. From animals men have obtained food, skins to make clothes, good company and among other things a great help to work on the land. One of the main attributes of an animal is its beauty. Out of the admiration that man feels for animals comes an interest in using them as an artistic motif. We can find animals in:
