Legislatively Speaking• State Rep Joe Fitzgibbon posted a response to the petition (spearheaded by

Natalie Bachiri) to Fully Fund Education.• Rep Fitzgibbon has supported tax reform proposals that would have invested more fully into K-

12 education and will continue to push such reforms in the 2015 legislative session. • Prime-sponsored House Bill 2803 which would impose impose tax on carbon pollution and

dedicate proceeds to fund basic education need.• Will not support cutting the education programs not constitutionally protected such as highly

capable education and the social safety net as a means to fund education without raising revenue.
