NEW STUDENTS
Please arrive 15 minutes before scheduled start time
to register. Discuss any injuries or health issues with
your teacher before class.
Wear something you are comfort able sweating in.
Breathable fabric is most desirable.
Come to class fully hydrated. Ensure you drink
plenty of water throughout the day so that you are
prepared. Bring a large bottle of water with you to
class or purchase chilled water at the studio.
Come to class on an empty stomach. Most people
fi nd they need to leave at least 3 hours between
their last meal and the class.
Yoga mats and large towels are required in the
studio. Please bring your own or purchase at the
studio. Stay in the studio during class. Feel free to
sit or lay down if you feel dizzy or nauseous. As you
build the ability to focus your mind and still your
body, the struggle will disappear.
If you need to leave class early, please let the
teacher know before class begins, and do not leave
before savasana (resting pose) begins to avoid
disturbing other students. Remember that savasana
is a crucial element of yoga class — and it does not
take more than a few minutes.
Yoga is a practice as well as a life long process.
It is not about doing the postures perfectly. As long
as you give your best effort, you will receive the
same therapeutic benefi t as someone who has
practiced for years and obtained a high level of
fl exibility, strength and balance.
We recommend practicing 4-5 times per week
to obtain the maximum benefi ts. Of course, you will
receive the same benefi ts with a reduced practice –
just in a longer time.
CLASS DESCRIPTIONS
HOT YOGA Our ALL LEVELS HOT yoga class is
accessible to everyone, beginners and experienced
students alike, regardless of your fl exibility or level
of fi tness. Set to music in a room heated up to 104
degrees and 50- percent humidity, this set-sequence
class blends the powerful elements of Bikram hot
yoga and Ashtanga inspired vinyasa power fl ow. Our
trained teachers will guide you as you systematically
work the entire body, toning your muscles, promot-
ing weight loss, reducing stress, and increasing your
overall physical, mental and emotional vitality.
Approximately 80 minutes in length.
HOT POWER YOGA Our HOT Power and HOT Flow
classes are vigorous yet accessible. They integrate
fl uid transitions from pose to pose, seamlessly
linking body, breath, and movement in the Ashtanga
inspired vinyasa tradition. The smooth, continuous
fl ow deepens breathing, increases endurance, and
calms the mind while restoring and shaping the
body. The room is heated and classes vary in length ~
check the online class schedule.
WHY THE HOT ROOM?
Our practice rooms are intentionally heated to
warm your muscles and allow you to work deeper
and safer. The heat also heals, helps prevent injuries
and promotes sweating which fl ushes toxins from
your body. With persistence, patience and dedication
you can lose inches and develop muscle tone and
strength that might never come from other forms of
exercise. Your clothes will fi t better, your posture will
be better and your skin will GLOW!
WHO CAN PRACTICE YOGA?
Anyone and everyone can practice Yoga. Our yoga
program is accessible to all, no matter your age,
strength, experience or fl exibility!
WHAT IF I AM NOT FLEXIBLE?
This is the most common misconception that
prevents people from coming to a yoga class.
Yoga is not about how fl exible you are; it is about
stretching your body, quieting the mind and healing
the soul. The more infl exible you are the more you
need yoga. You become fl exible by doing yoga.
