Holidays & food!• Navidad!

- they celebrate it very similar to the western nations- since it doesn’t snow in Argentina (except in the mountains) they use cotton to imitate snow.- they have huge feasts which include meat pies, stuffed tomatoes, roast pork, or turkey.- they also celebrate with cake and champagne!

• Feista de la vendimia!- this is the wine harvest festival- starts the 1st Saturday in march and continues on for one week!

• Dia de la tradicion!- this is a day where they celebrate their culture!- they drink tea, and use chimichurri sauce on many different dishes!

Family and Home Roles• Urban families are small (typically 2 kids)• Rural families are larger (About 4 Kids minimum)• Responsibilities for raising children are handling

finances fall upon the mother.• Men work long hours a day, often resulting them

get a proper education.• Until 1987, divorce was illegal in Argentina, but

Pop Culture• In Argentina they live for

music… and of course fine arts.

• There are just two main music style in Argentina the Tango and Folklore.

• If you notice most celebrities in this country are model of some sort.

• Dora Noemí Kerchen- is a famous actor, singer, dance, TV hostess, and model. Known for her husband deported from the US a “illegal alien”.

• Noelia Alejandra Bernal- An Argentine model, Noelia Alejandra Bernal represented her country at the 2007 Miss World pageant.
