New financial Year 2010-11 Shri Sadguru Seva Sangh Trust celebrated Apr’01st 2010 as New Financial Year. Director Dr.B.K Jain and the key staff members of the Trust were present on the occasion. Dr.B.K Jain shared the previous year’s achievements and set goals for new financial year. New ledgers books were distributed to all the department heads.

Sadguru Premium League – 2010 SPL-II came to an end with final match played between Perfect sporting club Ganga-Jamuna and Sadguru Ekta team on 20th June, 2010 in which Sadguru Ekta team won the league in a thrilling final outsmarting Perfect Sporting Club Ganga-Jamuna by 4 wickets. 9 teams had participated in this league.

Caliper Distribution Camp SSST and Bhagwan Mahavir Viklang Sahayata Samiti has jointly organized Caliper Distribution camp for distribution of Aids & Appliances to physically challenged persons in need under ADIP scheme of Govt. of India in the presence of State Govt. officials. Around 125 persons were benefited from this camp. Eye Donation Awareness Program was also conducted by SSSST on this occasion. 25th to 29th June Inter State Sports Meet 2010 MP Govt. has organized sports meet 2010 in Vidyadham school campus. The Meet was inaugurated by Chitrakoot MLA, Hon’ble Shri Surendra Singh Gaharwar accompanied by Govt. officials. SSSST has successfully coordinated the activity. Purpose of the meet was to provide training to all the PTI’S of MP state in various sports. Around 550 Male and Female trainees participated in this event

PMOA WORKSHOPS: 13th and 14th batch of Para-Medical Ophthalmic Assistants (PMOAs) underwent 6 days refresher training program during Apr to June months. Total 65 participants from UP, MP and Bihar participated in training programs. The main purpose of the training programs is to strengthen the skills of Government Para-medical ophthalmic assistants and expose them to recent advances in ophthalmology at primary, secondary and tertiary care level.

16th to 18th April DOS Annual Conference Delhi: Dr. Ashok Kag and Dr. Rakesh Shakya of Sadguru Netra Chikitsalaya actively participated in 61st DOS annual Conference held at Delhi and presented 2 papers and 1 poster.

7th June 2010 Hospital Based Program on Retinal Diseases One day Hospital Based Program on ‘Vitreo-Retina’ was organized on 7th June, 2010 by Retina Unit of SSSST. Dr Arvind Kumar Dubey an eminent VR surgeon from Gwalior, India gave hands on training and delivered lecture to surgeons of Vitreo-Retinal Dept.

5th May-Inauguration of ‘Jaitwara Vision Center SSSST inaugurated Vision Center at Jaitwara, Distt. Satna.Shri Ram Sharan Bansal,a social worker,inaugurated the center. During inauguration day 32 patients registered their names for eye check-up.

20th June - Foundation Day of Teonthar Vision Center

SSSST celebrated Foundation day of Teonthar vision center on 20th June, 2010.Chief Guest of the program was Shri Ramesh Rawat (Tehsildar) Teonthar and special guests Brahma Narayan Sharma, President Bar Association Anil Tiwari, Zonal President, BJP, and Madhav Dubey Social Worker contributed their presence. Around 35 patients registered their names for eye check-up during Foundation day. The purpose of foundation day is to meet with local supporters, government authorities and public for dissemination of vision center activities performance and ensuring a feedback mechanism from public.

25th June-Inauguration of ‘Devendra Nagar Vision Center’ SSSST inaugurated 23rd Vision Center at Devendra Nagar, District Panna by Tehsildar Shri R.D.Shukla and Shri Pankaj Arora, Standard Chartered Bank (SCB) representative. It is 11th vision center sponsored under Standard Chartered Bank ‘Seeing is Believing Project’. During inauguration day 51 patients registered their names for eye check-up.

ANNUAL RESULT DISTRIBUTION SESSION 2009-10 Shiksha Samiti has celebrated Annual Result Day at Sadguru Auditorium. Chief Guests were Dr. B.K. Jain, Director and Trustee of SSSST and Mrs. Usha B. Jain, President Sadguru Shiksha Samiti. They distributed the progress reports and prizes in the form of cash to the toppers. Pearls of Sadguru Public School: NSTSE (National level Science Talent Search Examination)-2009 Unified Council conducts NSTSE examination to judge the level of scholastic skills of the students in math and science. 50 Students of Sadguru Public School participated in NSTSE-2009 at Sadguru Public School Campus. 3 Students of Sadguru Public School got max marks out of 50 students.

STD X exams: SPS recorded 100% result Sadguru Public school’s First batch has achieved 100 per cent success rate in MP board exams.14 students from SPS appeared for the exam, and out of them 13 students got Distinction while Mohini Singh has topped the school by scoring 88% marks in aggregate.

7th April - World Health Day Sadguru School of Nursing celebrated the World Health Day on 7th April. The theme of the day was “Urbanization and Health” Health for all! Nursing students raised consciousness among patients and their attendants and campaigned on good health for every individual.

12th May- International Nurses Day Sadguru School of Nursing celebrated the International Nurses Day on 12th May to mark the occasion of birth anniversary of Florence Nightingale –The pioneer of nursing profession. Students presented variety of entertainment program and role play on the life of Florence Nightingale to members of Sadguru parivaar. Chief Guest of the program was Dr. B.K. Jain, Director. JKC Team – Pride of SSSST Mrs. Hema Ben, Ahmedabad had an accident on 6th May 22, 2010 with an auto while she was on a visit to Chitrakoot, her leg was too much crushed to be repaired but stunning performance of our JKC team and her destiny led her life saved. Appreciation can’t be expressed in the words but work shows.

Total hip replacement-A voluntary service by Dr. Mukesh Tripathi Total Hip Replacement of Mr. Chanuwa, Atarra had been performed by Dr. Mukesh Tripathi, Orthopedic Surgeon on 22/05/10.This surgery was neither affordable nor accessible for the patient but Jankikund Chikitsalaya and Dr. Tripathi made it possible for the patient. Dr.Tripathi is a voluntary service provider and he comes all the way from Satna to provide services.

Watershed Management – At SSSST Sadguru Seva Sangh Trust is implementing various agricultural practices. By these activities we have find out the solution for scarcity of water which is an undoubtedly – a national problem. The practice has definitely played an important role in increasing the moisture content and soil fertility, as a result we have been able to produce green fodder, vegetables and plants in Ravines. Moreover we have find solution for seasonal problem of drinking water (especially in summer), as this process led to increase the water level mark from 1m to 1.5m
