Patient Success
Story
During the school screening, when the child was examined, doctors gave them advice that this problem can be corrected through sugical operation. Now after the surgery, his vision came to 6/9 without glasses. His parents are overjoyed that their child can fully enjoy his life & are grateful to the doctors at Sadguru Netra Chikitsalaya for giving Bhoopendra a fresh start.
Bhoopendra told that a team of Sadguru Netra Chikitsalaya, visited his school on 29th January 2019 (As per the Referral card) to screen the eyes of the children under the follow up visit. During the screening, he was provided with a yellow card (referral slip) and was asked to visit the hospital for detailed examination.
At camp, he complains that his vision was deteriorating and gradually decreasing day by day. He stated that he loves to play cricket, which was restricted now and he is unable to play with his friends. At the camp, he was diagnosed with cataract and recommended for a surgery. When his father learned that this problem can be cured, he was happy and agreed for the surgery. He was taken to the hospital via Sadguru bus and doctors performed the surgery.
He was admitted to the CECC department at Sadguru Netra Chikitsalaya, SSSST, with the complaint of progressively worsening the vision of eyes since last 1 year.
He visited our hospital on 05th February 2019 for the detailed examination. After the cycloplegic Retinoscopy & refraction examination done by the doctor, the team diagnosed him with cataract in both eye. His vision was recorded as 6/36 in the both eyes without glasses & central glow was not seen clear by both eyes. Post diagnosis, he and his father was counseled by our counselor that with the help of surgery and regular follow-ups, his eyes will improve. This brought a smile on the face of Bhoopendra and his father respectively.
Bhoopendra, a 12 years old boy, suffered from cataract in both his eyes since childhood, is residing in Ramnai, Rewa district. He is studying in 07th standard in Shaskiya High School, located in Ramnai, Rewa district. His father works as a labourer & mother is a housewife.
