At OphthaQuest 2016, a national conference held in New Delhi on 16-17th of July 2016, Dr. B.K. Jain, Direc-tor and Trustee, Shri Sadguru Seva Sangh Trust, Chitrakoot was honoured with ‘Dr. J.L. Sharma Ora-tion’. Dr. B.K. World Allergy Week, Apr 4th-10th 2016

World Allergy Week was observed at Shri Sadguru Seva Sangh Trust, Chitrakoot. Programs were held at Children Eye Care Centre of Sadguru Netra Chikitsalaya for spreading awareness on safeguarding from Paediatric Allergies. Paint-ing competition was held at Sadguru Public School. Dr. Pra-dhnya Sen, Head of Department, Paediatric & Strabismus, SNC, interacted with all as the Chief Guest. Also present was Mr. Pushpendra K. Mishra from Alcon Laboratories Ltd. as it supported the event.

Seva Foundation, under the banner of 'Global Sight Initiative' organized a meeting for the launch of 'SCALE' project on 5-6 April 2016, supported by Standard Chartered Bank. It was attended by key representatives of select partner hospitals of India. Sadguru Netra Chikitsalaya, Chitrakoot is one of their key partners. The objective of meeting was to orient Project Objectives and to finalize the new mentee hospitals for mentoring process.

Inauguration of REACH project for Paediatric Eye-care, July 22nd, 2016

On July 22, 2016, Sadguru Netra Chikitsalaya and Orbis International, along with support of the Qatar Development Fund, has launched the REACH (Refractive Error Among Children) program in Satna, MP to improve the quality of child eye health by providing comprehensive refractive er-ror services to school-going children in Satna. The objective of the program is to improve the quality of child eye health by providing comprehensive refractive error services to school-going children. Within the span of three years in this project, more than 4 lakh children of the district will be covered and shall be checked and treated for refractive error.

With the overwhelming feedback Orbis received from the Chinese Delegates on their India visit last year, Orbis China visited Sadguru Netra Chikitsalaya (SNC) once again with another 17 members senior team of ophthalmic professionals on 07 & 08 May 2016 coordinated by Orbis India. SNC shared its learnings and expertise in India with Chinese senior government officials working for preventable blindness in China.

Dr. Vishwa Mohan Katoch, Former Secretary, Department of Health Research, Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Govt. of India & Director General- Indian Council of Medical Research, visited Shri Sadguru Seva Sangh Trust, Chitrakoot on 30th June 2016. He spoke on the Medical Research field in India and gave pertinent suggestions orienting the Post Graduate students of Sadguru Netra Chikitsalaya (SNC) regarding their thesis

work. Heads of Departments of SNC had exclusive session with him regarding the future plans of Research and Development in the institute.

WonderWork Chief Program Officer, Ms. DeLois H. Greenwood visited Sadguru Netra Chikitsalya (SNC), Shri Sadguru Seva Sangh Trust with her colleagues, Ms.Tiffany Carson, Manager of Global Programs and Mr. Ujjal Bhattacharya, Program Officer, India from 2nd to 4th Aug 2016 at Chitrakoot. WonderWork is an international NGO working for children suffering from medical problems. Dr.Elesh Jain, Administrator, SNC briefed them on paediatric eye care services provided by SNC at Children Eye Care Centre. The team discussed further mutual endeavours with Sadguru Netra Chikitsalaya for the same.

Grover, awarded Padma Shri by the President of India, Chairman (Ophthalmology Department) Sir Ganga Ram Hospital, Chairman -Vision Eye Centres and Cataract & Lasik Laser Surgeon, Oculoplasty, Orbital and Lacrimal Surgeon, Aesthetic Oculo-plastic Surgeon visited Sadguru Netra Chikitsalaya (SNC) on August 6th 2016. Dr. Elesh Jain, Administrator, SNC, felicitated Dr. Grover. The Department of Oculo and Orbito-plasty of SNC had special sessions with him. Hospital based program was held for all SNC ophthalmologists with Dr. Grover as the faculty.

World Health Day was observed in Jankikund Chikitsalaya, Shri Sadguru Seva Sangh Trust, Chitrakoot on 7th April 2016. The theme of World Health Day 2016 by is “HALT THE RISE: BEAT DIABETES". Awareness Posters by WHO, Health talks and Awareness sessions were held by the nurses and paramedical staff on preventive measures & health improvement on diabetes- a largely preventable and treatable non communicable disease that is rapidly spreading across the society.

Celebration of Centennial Year of Banaras Hindu University, June 26th, 2016

Shri Sadguru Seva Sangh Trust, Chitrakoot celebrated the Centennial

Year of Banaras Hindu University. Dr. Prof. V.K. Shukla, Director, Institute of

Medical Sciences, Banaras Hindu University was the Chief Guest. Along

with special guests Dr. VN Mishra, Sr. Neurologist, BHU, Dr. Dharmendra Jain,

Cardiologist, BHU, Prof. Neeraj Agrawal, BHU, the Chairperson of the ceremony

was Dr. S.N. Subba Rao, a fellow of Gandhi Peace Foundation and founder of National Youth Project who praised the impact of the work being done by the Trust. The institute plans to work

together with IMS, setting the BHU’s satellite clinics and outreach clinics, especially for multi-specialty disciplines like cardiology, neurology etc. Shri Sadguru Seva Sangh Trust,

Camp at Simhasth Kumbh Mahaparv, Apr 22 - May 21, 2016

In Simhasth Kumbh Mahaparv 2016, Ujjain, Shri Sadguru Seva Sangh Trust, Chitrakoot organized Health Camps for the general public. Gen-

eral Health camp saw more than 1200 diagnoses being done, 739 males, 322 females and 62 children came for investigations. Eye- care camp

saw 745 people coming for investigations, 256 glasses distributed and 1146 medications for eye problems were given free of cost to the needy

patients.

Community Health Survey Patna Khurd, June 22-25th, 2016

‘Jan jagran swasthya shivir', the Rural Health Care Campaign for Health Awareness was conducted from 22- 25 June 2016

for the village Kanpur of Gram Panchayat Patna Khurd, Majhgavan , Dist. Satna, MP. Janakikund Chikitsalaya (JKC),

with active cooperation from District administration, con-ducted screened 83 families with total 143 males, 141 fe-

males, 76 children. The hospital has conducted screening, awareness on healthand personal hygiene.

29th Complicated Orthopaedic Correction Camp, July 18-20th, 2016

A massive 3-day Orthopedic Polio Camp was conducted by Shri Sadguru Seva Sangh Trust at Jankikund Chikitsalaya on

(18/07/2016 to 20/07/2016) and was supported by Shri Paresh Bhai Navneet Bhai Bhagat, Mumbai. Patients from all

over M.P., U.P., and Bihar got treated by renowned Orthopedic surgeon Dr.H.K. Vakharia, Jamnagar, Gujarat. The

Heart Check-up Camp, July 27-29th, 2016

Shri Sadguru Seva Sangh Trust (SSSST) organized a “Heart Checkup Camp” on July 27-29, 2016 at Jankikund Chikitsalaya. Dr. Hetan C. Shah, MD, DNB from KEM hospital Mumbai, examined the patients for heart diseases and advised treatments. 106 patients were examined at the camp out of which 70 patients underwent the “echocardiography” test. Some patients underwent treatment for their heart conditions and

Our Sadguru Public Hr. Sec. School has organized a rally (road Show) on the occasion of “World Earth Day”. Students having banners and slogans in their hand participated in it. Students dressed up in Animals and Plants costumes. Before the road show they participated in painting and slogan competitions.

Result Declaration & National Olympiad Award, Apr 30th, 2016

Result Declaration Ceremony was there in the Auditorium (Vidyadham Campus). Principals of all the schools declared the Annual Results of their respective Schools in the presence of Dr. B. K. Jain (Trustee & Director SSST), Mrs. Usha B. Jain (President Sadguru Shiksha Samiti), Members of education society and other guests. National Olympiad awards certificates, Yellow and Brown belts for “Karate” were also distributed in this special occasion.

100% Result of class X & XII of students of SPS in examination conducted by CBSE.Result was

declared in month of May-2016. In class XII total 35 students appeared in examination and 34 students scored first division and one student scored second division. Aditi Chourey scored highest in school 85% marks In class Xth total 70 students appeared for examination. 69 Scored first division and 1 scored second division marks.11 students scored 10/10 CGPA grades.

Shri Sadguru Seva Sangh Trust, Chitrakoot had its Annual cricket Series, Sadguru Premier League from May 1st to May 28th 2016 at the venue, Shri Arvind Bhai Khel Parisar, Vidyadham. Dr. B.K. Jain, the Director and Trustee gave oath to the eleven teams who committed to play with the true spirit of sportsmanship. Shri Sadguru Seva Sangh Trust, Chitrakoot celebrated International Yoga Day on June 21st, 2016 together with the various organizations at the venue for IYD at Mahatma Gandhi Chitrakoot Gramodaya Vishwavidhyalaya. Shri Gauri Vrat Mahotsav, July 17th-22nd, 2016

The trust organized ‘Shree Gauri Vrat Mahotsav’ from 17-22 July at Prarthana Bhavan Hall. On this occasion 140 girls participated in the Mahotsav. The Vrat was concluded with ‘Ratri Jagran’ in which various cultural programs including Play, Solo dance and group dances were exhibited by the girls.

Celebrating and honouring the source of wisdom, Gurudev, Guru Purnima is celebrated every full moon day in the month of Ashadha (July-August). All the members of Sadguru family including multitudes of Gurubhai-Gurubehans and students from all the units of Sadguru Shiksha Samiti attended the same. Guru-Paduka Pujan was done. 'Bhandara’ was held for the sadhus and devotees.

Tree Plantation Drive, July 19th, 2016

On July 19th 2016, Shri Sadguru Seva Sangh Trust inaugurated the Tree-plantation project of this project with the target of 20 thousand trees to be planted. The program began with the pujan ceremony of the trees by Dr. B.K. Jain, Director and Mrs. Usha B. Jain, President, Sadguru Education Society. Dr. Jain thanked Gurubhai Shri Hemant bhai Banker for his huge contribution for this project.

District Magistrate of Satna District, Mr. Naresh Pal visited Shri Sadguru Seva Sangh Trust, Chitrakoot. He was briefed on the various activities of the different units of the trust and did special visit of health care section. Post his meeting with the officials of the trust, DM did the tree plantation at the premise of the Trust as his active participation in the massive drive being run by the trust.

Shravan Jhula Mahotsava, Aug 14-18th, 2016

Shravan Jhula Mahotsava was celebrated by Shri Sadguru Seva Sangh Trust and Shri Raghuvir Mandir Trust with great splendour. Singers from all over the country participated in the traditional Savan badhai geets. Jhankis were decorated with the scenes depict-ing various mythological avatars in the premise of Raghuvir Mandir.

Visit of SSNC team of Gomabai Netralaya, Nimach, May 14-15th, 2016

A team from Sadguru Sankalp Netra Chikitsalaya (SSNC) Anandpur comprising of SSNC personnel (Mr. Milind Rawal and Mr. Golu Pathak) and Camp Sponsors (Mr. Manoj Sharma, Mr. Mahaveer Jain and Mr. Narendra Bathla) visited Gomabai Netralaya Nimach (M.P.) on 14th-15th May 2016. The team closely observed the systems and procedures followed at Gomabai hospital in general and at Outreach camp in particular. Sponsor - Meet 2016, May 28th, 2016

To acknowledge the camp and Vision Center supporters the “Annual Spon-

sor Meet” was held on 28th May

2016. Around 150 sponsors from MP,

UP and Rajasthan were felicitated by Trustees - Dr. V. S. Jobanputra and

Shri Goverdhan Upadhyay- for their valuable contribution.

Hands-on-Skill Enhancement Session by Dr. Atul Badiani, Aug 25th-27th, 2016

Senior Ophthalmologist, Dr. Atul S. Badiani from Rajkot visited SSNC from 25th-27th August. During his visit Dr. Badiani interacted

with the staff and held clinical sessions with ophthalmologists.

The hands-on sessions on Phaco surgeries were well received by

the ophthalmologists. Dr Badiani is an eminent ophthalmologist at Rajkot and is known for a record 224 Phaco surgeries in a day. In

a valedictory function organized on 27th August, Dr. Vishnu Joban-putra, Director & Trustee, thanked him for providing his valuable

time and sharing his technical skills with the ophthalmologists at SSNC.

General Surgery Camp, July 18th-20th, 2016

A general surgery camp was

organized from 18th-20th July

2016 at Sadguru Sankalp

Chikitsalaya Anandpur. Dr. Ven-

katesh Agrawal from Satna

extended his valuable services

for the camp. During the three

days camp, over 100 patients were examined while 27 patients received surgical treatment. The

camp was coordinated by Dr. Kamal Mandloi, Dr. S. S. Tripathi and Dr. Mukesh Chouhan from SSC.

Inauguration of Shri Hanumanji Temple at Kaharpura, Apr 22nd, 2016

On the holy occasion of “Shri Hanumaan Jayanti” on 22nd

April 2016, a newly constructed Shri Hanumaan Ji

Temple at Shri Sadguru Dhaam Kaharpura was

inaugurated in graceful presence of Param Pujya Shri

Haricharandasji Maharaj. The temple – Shri Mahabali Maruti

Nandan is constructed with the support of Smt. Beenaben Dineshbhai Rupareliya from Ahmedabad. After the inaugural pujan, a Bhandara was organized wherein around 5000 people

took the prasada. Trustees of SSSST – Dr. Vishnu Jobanputra and Dr. B. k. Jain were present on the occasion along with other devotees and staff member.

trust in 2015-16 and emphasized on the areas of improvement. Dr Vishnu Jobanputra also shared the values governing the Trust.

International Day of Yoga, which is about spreading

awareness to achieve a healthi-er lifestyle, was celebrated

across the trust on 21 June 2016. Dr. Vishnu Jobanputra,

around with other volunteers of the trust to practice the ancient Indian discipline. Shri Dinesh Garg from Patanjali Yogpeeth Sironj demonstrated and guided the participants performing the

“Asanas”. Dr. Vishnu Jobanputra in his address emphasized on the importance of Yoga and medi-

tation in modern lifestyle. He elaborated further that Yoga is the best mean to achieve healthy co-

ordination between body and mind.

Eye Advance 2016, June 17th-19th, 2016

delivered a talk and presented papers along with Mr. Shakeel Ahmed. Mr. Anil Patel and Mr. Himanshu Singh from Anandpur also participated in the Conference. From SNC Chitrakoot, Mr. D. Subramanyam and Mr. Subeesh Kuyyadiyil delivered talks. The Trust’s contribution was well received by the audience.

Shri Sadguru Seva Sangh Trust participated in EyeAdvance 2016, XIth International Congress on Advances in Ophthalmology held in Mumbai from 17th to 19th, June 2016. Dr. Vishnu Jobanputra, Director and Trustee and Dr. Jainendra Rahud from Sadguru Sankalp Netra Chikitsalaya, Anandpur, participated in the event and from Sadguru Netra Chikitsalaya, Chitrakoot, Dr. B.K. Jain, Director and Trus-tee, Dr. Alok Sen, Medical Superintendent, Head of Department, Vitreous Retina, Dr. Rajesh Joshi, Head of Department, Cataract

and IOL, Dr. Gautam Singh Parmar, Head of Department, Cornea and Refractive Surgeries presented their talks on various topics and were felicitated.
