We have had to redefine our routines over the past few weeks in the midst of COVID 19. I had a mentor encourage me in the midst of hard situations to look for the good. Usually in hard and difficult situations the obstacles are so overwhelming that they drown out the good. But if we look for it, we can still find the good. I encourage us to look for the good in the midst of this difficult time. As we have altered our daily routine we have also had to alter how we do church. I wish as much as you do that we could meet as a body on Sunday and Wednesdays. I have found my- self getting frustrated at the new normal. But the good in the midst of the hard is that we have the outlets of Facebook and YouTube where we can still be connected. We really appreciate those behind-the-scenes folks who have made this media outlet possible, Dr. McCurdy and Dr. Austin for coming to share about COVID-19. Over the next few weeks we will be releasing a couple of videos as we approach Easter to keep folks updated about church. We will also be continuing to do Sunday morning wor- ship. We will continue to keep you updated on the schedule at church. I look forward to seeing your faces! As we adjust and modify the way we are currently doing things due to the COVID-19 pandemic, we are also continuing to worship God and live as Christians, but in a way different than we are used to so we can better protect everyone. Until we can again join together in Church, we will join together with modern technology. This means using the phone and computer more to reach out to one another, online Worship, online gatherings and group meetings with teleconferencing, and asking staff to work from home to make all this possible. Please continue to join us and stay safe by connecting with us online:Sundays (Easter Sunday Schedule TBA) 11:00 Online Worship video on our FaceBook page www.facebook.com/firstbaptistjasper/ 12:30 Online Worship video on our YouTube channel www.youtube.com (search First Baptist Jasper Georgia)Other: We are also continuosly woking on providing other activities online. As things are quickly changing day to day, our monitoring of the situation continues and we are continuous-ly modifying too. It is a learning process, so please be patient as we work to coordinate things to provide you with: Online Worship, Online Children's Ministry with Anna, online meetings (Staff and Deacons, Youth, some sunday school classes and Bible studies, etc.). Using some of these online platforms is new to many of us. If you need help, please reach out to those leading each event or call the office. Current office hours are Monday through Friday from 10 am to 2 pm, but could change. We will always be able to check phone messages and emails remotely. We are also still broadcast on Sundays on ETC Channel 3 and WYYZ Radio. Ad-ditionally past services can be found on our web page at www.fbcjasper.com
