In the scripture fromJohn, the man is blind

from birth. The invitation this weekis to consider the places

where you are blindin your relationships,

in your work life,in your faith life,

    in your understandingof world affairs.

What might heal youfrom this inabilityto see, really see?

    How have youwitnessed Gods

movement in the worldthis day, this week?

    Prayer actions

    you might considerthis week:

Choose a particularsituation in your life

or the life of the world.Try to see it in a newway, from a differentperspective. How are

    you changed by

    doing this?

Pray for all whoneed the gift of sight.

A study of Acts led by BruceRobbins, Leah Rosso, and Chris

Jackson. At the 2010 AnnualConference, Bishop Sally Dyckasked all churches in Minnesota tostudy the book of Acts to see what ithas to teach us about what it meansto be the church in our time, in our

    21

century world. We hold manysimilarities to this first century bandof new Christians. Through the studyof these scriptures, see how theirlives and struggles have much tooffer us in our own faith lives.

    GREAT THANKSGIVING

God be with you. And also with you.

Lift up your hearts. We lift them up to God.

Let us give thanks to the Lord our God.It is right to give our thanks and praise.

and so with our all our sisters and brothers, before us and beside us,

we praise you from our hearts for your unending greatness.

as Jesus offered thanks for the gifts of the earth, let us also celebrate Gods goodness and proclaim the mystery of our faith.

and that we may be your body on earth, loving and caring in the world.

    LORDS PRAYER

Our God, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name.

Thy kindom come;thy will be done

on earth as it is in heaven.Give us this day our daily bread,

and forgive us our trespassesas we forgive those who trespass against us.And lead us not into temptation,

but deliver us from evil, for thine is the kindom,

the power, and the glory forever. Amen.

Thou art as mysterious as thevast solitudes of the night,

and yet art as familiar to usas the light of the sun. When justice burnslike a flaming fire,When love evokes

willing sacrifice,Do we not bow down

    to Thee?Thou dwellest

within our hearts,As Thou dost pervade

    the world, andWe through thy

    Presence behold.
