Keeping in Balance, Creating Order Within
Keeping in Balance will take us on a journey throughout Scripture as we discover the relevance of Old and New Testament wisdom to our daily chal-lenges. Join us as we explore biblical ways that we can manage life’s pace and pressure while living with calm and steadiness. A lifestyle of health and holiness awaits.
Opening Your Heart, The Starting Point Opening Your Heart is an incredibly effective guide to deep, lasting transformation of the heart and we encourage all participants new to Walking with Purpose to begin here. Join
us as we examine the questions that we wrestle with if we want to experience all that God has for us.
The mission of Walking with Purpose is to help every Catholic woman and girl in America open her heart to Jesus
Christ. Interested in learning more? Please join us on Tuesday, October 1st to find out what Walking with Purpose is all about! Bring a friend and meet us in Hanley Hall, after the 8:30am Mass.

We have come to the end of Summer and are moving headlong into the academic season. This always includes the numerous school and parish activities. It also is the time when registration for religious education begins for our young people. Another good opportunity of the religious education of our families, is taking advantage of the content on FORMED. I recently discovered an audio presentation by Dr. John Bergsma on the Dead Sea Scrolls. It was AMAZING! I shared how much I enjoyed the Dead Sea Scroll presentation on FORMED with a parishioner, and she purchased another program by Dr. Bergsma that is more in-depth titled: The Dead Sea Scrolls and the Jewish Roots of the Church. I plan on hosting a class on this beginning in September. I will advertise the dates of the classes in the coming
weeks bulletin. Dr. John Bergsma is a full professor of Theology at Franciscan University of Steubenville, in Steubenville, Ohio. Dr. Bergsma explains that,
“I served as a Protestant pastor for four years before entering the Catholic Church in 2001 while pursuing a Ph.D. in Theology from the University of Notre Dame. I specialize in the Old Testament and the Dead Sea Scrolls, graduating with high honors in 2004.”
In order to whet your appetite, I strongly encourage you to listen to Dr. Bergsma’s programs on FORMED. The wonderful thing about the audio programs on FORMED is that you can listen to them while you are driving around. That is what I do.
United with you in prayer, Fr. Michael Dobbins
