NOTE: This special event policy is intended to cover private, by invitation only, events hosted by individuals. This policy cannot be used for events held by organizations/businesses, events open to the public, or for events where there is an attendance fee. Where can I view a sample policy? Under Policy Language and Endorsements, select the hyperlink to be directed to the page for each state’s specimen policy. Simply view the documents for your client’s resident state. NOTE: After being directed to view the policy language and endorsements, do not click the Quote & Issue button on the www.ProtectMyWedding.com website. You must return to AgentHQ SM and click on the Quote/Issue button to begin your quote. This will ensure your agent code is captured and that you get paid the commission properly. Can liability coverage be purchased separately? No. Liability and liquor liability coverages are strictly optional endorsements for the event location and are not sold separately. The Wedding Protector Plan ® and Protector Plan ® for Events policies are mainly designed to protect the investment of the private event, thus a minimum of Core Coverage Level 1 is required. Please refer to specimen policy for coverages and exclusions. When should my clients purchase coverage? Polices can be issued up to two years in advance down to one day before the event date in most states. Policies purchased less than 14 days in advance will have coverage restrictions. The Core Coverage starts the day the policy is purchased and expires at the end of the event date. Policies with the liability coverage endorsement(s) have an extended event date for purposes of liability coverage only. This means your customers will have liability coverage at the event location until 2:00 a.m. (in the time zone where the event is being held) the day after the event. This extension will be printed on the Declarations page in the Optional Endorsements and Coverage section. My client’s vendor (i.e., caterer, band, wedding planner, etc.) does not have liability coverage of their own. Can we list them as an Additional Insured?

No. Our policy is personal lines coverage only and is intended to provide coverage for the liability of the named insured and honoree(s). We cannot provide professional liability coverage to vendors on our policy. We can, however, list the event venue(s) as an additional insured for liability  arising out  of the acts or omissions of  the named insured or honoree on the event date.

What are the payment options and the cancellation/premium refund policy?

Policies are paid in full using a credit or debit card. The premium is fully earned, and in most states, policies cannot be canceled. As the agent, you should review the Premium Refund Policy, along with the applicable Fraud Warning and Underwriting Requirements with your clients prior to issuing coverage to avoid any misunderstanding.
