which gets very cold in the winter!
What do you do to prepare for the cold winter? Do you:
• Wear warm clothes?
• Heat your house?
• Eat warm foods?
• Use blankets?
• What do animals do to prepare for the winter?
What We’ll LearnDuring the winter, animals do one of
three things to prepare themselves:
• Hibernate• Migrate• Adapt
After we study Animals in Winter we will:
• define Hibernation, Migration, and Adaptation
• make a chart about Animals in Winter
• write an Animals in Winter fact piece
Let’s Get to Work!Northern New York has many animals.
They all have to prepare for winter. In this Webquest we:
• Gather information about -Hibernation -Migration -Adaptation
• Make a chart of what certain animals do in the winter
• Write a "fact-finder" writing piece about Animals in Winter
• Share our fact-finder writing pieces
with other students
