The magazines main focus is on major, popular blockbuster movies in the UK and in America. The target audience of empire is males who are 21 and over and others who are highly interested in films. The magazine is highly successful in collaborating with other companies and institutions.The audiences who buy this magazine are usually middle class, this is because the price of the magazine is around 3-4.

This means that the style and presentation of the magazine has to be different to the other empire magazines seen in the shops. The magazine has to be more stylish and modern to attract the target audience.

The magazine has to be more unique, in this you can see that the main feature is the new bond film Skyfall because there is no other features shown. This style of magazine is similar to a fashion magazine such as Vogue, this is because the actor Daniel Craig is posing in the image which is taken in a photo-shoot, which is not featured in the film. Also the way that the suit he is wearing is highlighted shows the classic, smoothness of the film genre and narrative and links to the modern, clean style.

Similar bleed of image over masthead of actor, this time the image is not posed it looks as if the image is from the film. The masthead one again not changed in font or size but has in colour from beige to bright red for the style which is more flashy but still shows the classic style of Bond.

More features of other movies and actors in order to catch the readers attention. Also keeping the magazine current and linking to the style.

More detailed graphics and colours for example emphasis on the bullet holes through glass effect and the constant use of red and white.
