Episode 01, SHOW OFF MIA

Pitch: Mia is having fun, doing some loops around some huge cones where she goes through while looping. After doing some very impressive figures in the sky, she hits one of the cones and ends up being stuck inside of a well that is about to get flooded!

Medium Shot

Blue sky and shiny sun in Monster Town.

Mia the Monster Copter is having a real nice time and is looping around some huge cones that nearly touch the sky.

She stops to look at the camera, then smiles and nods.

Zoom in on her face where we see her determined, competitive look.

Medium shot of Mia, gaining momentum in the air, which shows that she is going to make an impressive move.

After the gaining of momentum, she speeds up real fast and does an impressive *turn around herself while getting between the first two cones.

Mia beams with pride and does another loop to show off.

Hi Mia! Looks like you’re having real fun out there!

Wow Mia that’s impressive!

Careful out there though!

2. Day Wide ShotSky / Well

Wide Shot – We see all the cones piled up, forming a path. Mia is doing another acrobatic loop between the cones in front of her.

This time, she manages to turn three times around herself while she goes in between the next cones.

High Angle Shot

This one was so technical to make however that by the time she reverses to take her basic position, she hits one of the cone which makes her twist and turn.

While she slowly tries to get on her former position and stay stable, she keeps swirling and can’t manage to control her path.

She tries to stabilize her trajectory but finds her way inside of a well. As she struggles controlling her way inside the well, she hits one of the pipes of the well.

Unfortunately, this pipe breaks and leaves a whole on the pipe system, which unleashes the water!

Mia is now stuck between two pipes, and the well is starting to get flooded from the inside!

Inside well- Mia nods, making a shameful face. All good but zoom in on the broken pipe with water coming out of it.

Cut to the well from the top view. The camera keeps shooting at Mia while going up with the sound of the VO telling her that she’ll come back.

Oh no! Careful Mia!

Oh my! Mia, are you ok??

You’ve broken one of the pipes during your fall! Now, the well is getting flooded!

We need to call Maverick! Coming back real soon Mia!

3. Day Front of Maverick’s HQMedium Shot

Maverick is in front of his base, where a trampoline is set outside.

He is on his own and trying to jump as high as possible.

As he jumps, we see him stopping and putting on his sad face. He tries to jump again in the process.

Hello little Maverick, why so sad?

Maverick stops jumping and mumbles something to the camera.

He nods then goes and tries again one last time. Still failing to jump as high as he wishes.

Maverick stops jumping again, this time with a closer attention to what the VO has to say – Close up on his face.

As the VO explains the situation, Maverick looks shocked.

He nods, with a determined look.

Oh I see, you wished this trampoline could take you way up in the air and make you fly?

I’m sure you’ll manage eventually, little one. In the meantime, I have a mission for you!

Mia was doing some loops but got stuck in a well and it’s about to get flooded!Can you fetch some help quickly?

4. Day Maverick’s Garage

Maverick is in his base, and gets himself prepared to go out.

He gets his speed reactors out.

He goes out of the base and makes an impressive jump from the hill, where all of the Monsters’ base are set.

He lands in a springboard that allows him to go even faster in his race.

He speeds along the streets of Monster Town.

5. At the well

Mid shot

Maverick arrives at the well and verifies Mia is still inside.

We hear Mia’s mumbling from down the well, along with the sound of water flowing.

Mia are you still there?

Mid Shot from the inside of the well – the water is halfway through the well now. Mia looks very worried. The well is half filled with

water Maverick, who should we call to help Mia?

6. Day Outside – Front of M.’s base

Close-up on Maverick, thinking about it.He then has a Eureka look and mumbles something to the camera.

Milo and Mitch! Of course!Let’s go get them!

7. Day Streets of Monster Town to see the cranes

Maverick speeds up along the streets of Monster Town. He’s going really fast and all the streets are kind of blurry around him.

8. Day Ext. Const.Site

Milo and Mitch are at the construction site, trying to finish up and place the last piece of what looks like a multicolored building.

There is one last brick to place to have the building fully done and we can see a whole in the middle of it, waiting for the last piece to be inserted.

Only, Milo and Mitch can’t seem to figure out which color they want on this last one.

We see Mitch making an angry face, clearly having the heavier look and wanting to take advantage. As for Milo, he seems to be a bit lost in his thought, and yet doesn’t want to let Mitch win the argument.

The only crane Mitch and Milo have keeps switching from right to left, showing that the characters don’t get along on their choice. The hook attached on their crane keeps moving a bit everywhere as if it was about to fall off.

Hi Monster Cranes..;

Something happened to...

Milo and Mitch don’t really have time to react to that when they hear another Maverick entering the shot.

Guys, guys!

9. Day Ext. Const.Site

Maverick has just arrived at the construction site when he mumbles something to the cranes.The cranes finally stop fighting and stay still to listen to him.

Maverick mumbles something to them.

Despite their argument, the Monster Cranes both agree and nod to that.

Guys listen, Maverick needs your help.

Mia is stuck inside a well that is about to get flooded! Can you help her?

Great let’s go then!

10. Day Streets –

Wide Shot Maverick is a little ahead of the cranes that are following him in a rush.

11. Day Ext. WellMedium shot

1st person shot from Mia POV

As the rescuing squad arrive all at once, with little Maverick ahead, wide shot on stuck Mia inside the well. The water has really filled the well, and Mia is struggling to keep her head out of the water.

Cut to Mia’s perspective – the camera points at the direction of the sky, from inside the well. It moves as if the camera was Mia’s struggling head.

Cut to the others who see Mia trying to free herself.This time, both Milo and Mitch have the same expression on their face: they look afraid for Mia.

There she is! Quick guys, she’s nearly drowning!

Don’t you worry Mia! Maverick has brought some help to get you down!

12. Day Mid shot Milo mumbles something to Mitch and he seems to agree with him this time.

They both look down and extend their crane as low as possible.

Little Maverick looks at the crane going down, all mesmerized.

The crane is going down, and down, and down until it reaches the ring on Mia’s back and clings to it with the hook.

The hook swings from left to right until it finally reaches the ring on Mia’s back.

Close-up on the hook clinging to Mia’s back and catching it.

The hook unstuck Mia who is finally free of the pipes she’s been stuck on.While the crane continues to pull her up.

Close-up to her smiling face (notifying that she’s having fun going up).

The crane takes her on the floor and she finally rests on a standard position again.

Almost there, guys! Use your hook!

Gotcha!

Haha, Mia. Try not to fall!

13. Day Well Mia looks relieved and smiles. Maverick jumps with excitement.

Just as the VO finishes asking her question, the cranes start arguing again (argument mumbling). We see their crane revolving around them once again, moving in every direction, showing their indecision.

Cut to Mia and Maverick who sneak out of the scene while the cranes ‘fight’.

Thanks for your help Cranes. You really make a hell of team when you work together!

Now, how are you going to repair these pipes?

Oh Boy…

Mia mumbles something to little Maverick who looks thrilled and jumps with excitement.

Maverick, Mia wants to give you a tour of the city to thank you!

14. Day SkyHigh angle Shot

High Angle shot from Maverick’s point of view –Cut to Mia taking Maverick up in the air while from a sky point of view, we see the crane still fighting.

Wide shot to Mia and Maverick up in the sky, going further and further from the shot.
