reduce the range of the product.• The range of all wireless equipment is affected by obstacles between

the transmitter and the receiver (a concrete wall reduces the signal far more than a plasterboard partition, for example).

If you are having problems with the operation of the system, try the following solutions

• Switch off any other wireless equipment to check whether it could be causing the problem.

Efergyisanelectricitymonitorwhichshowshowmuchelectricalenergyisbeingconsumedinyourhomeattheactualmomentyoureadthedisplay.Thedisplaycanalsoinformtheconsumerhowmuchtheconsumedenergycosts.Youcanwalkaroundyourhomewiththedisplayunitandturnelectricaldevicesonandofftoseethedifferenceinpowerconsumptiondirectlyonthedisplay.

IT ISVERYIMPORTANTTHATYOUTAKEINTOCONSIDERATIONAFEWSIMPLEPRECAU-TIONARYMEASURESBEFOREUSINGTHISPRODUCT.

Efergyelectricitymonitorsareeasytoinstall.Still,therearesomeessentialsafetyrulesthatyoumustbeconsciousof:IntheUKorIrelandtheinstallationoftheelectricitymonitoriseasy,sincetheonlythingthatisrequiredistoconnectasensortotheincomingmainspowercable.Ifyoustillfeelunsureastohowtofitthesensor,werecommendthatyoucontactaqualifiedelectrician.IntheNordiccountriesa3-phasesystemisused,whichmeansthatonemust installallthreeincludedsensors.Thesensorclampsshouldbeclampedovertheincomingelectricalcablesinoroutsidethedistributionbox.Contactaqualifiedelectricianifyouareinanydoubtastohowtofitthesensors.

Readandfollowtheimportantinformationcontainedinthefollowingpages.Rememberthattheelectricitymonitor’ssensorsdonotneedtohavedirectelectricalcontactatthemeasuringpoint.Thesensorsshouldsitaroundthecable.

Ifyoufindsomethingunusualinoraroundthedistributionboxsuchasloosecables,barecables,burnmarks,holesintheinsulationmaterialoranyotherdamage,etc.youmustimmediatelystopworkandcontactyourelectriccompanyorthepersonresponsibleforelectricalinstallations.

Donotforceorbendthecablesinanywaywhilstfittingthesensors.

Ifyouareuneasyorhaveanyquestionsregardingthefittingoftheelectricitymonitor’ssensors,contactaqualifiedelectricianimmediately.

The sensorswill not need tobe removedat all during thenormal useful operating life of theelectricitymonitor.However,thetransmitteranddisplayunitrequirebatteriesthatwillneedtobechangedoccasionally.

The sensors measure the current whichpasses through thesecables.A readingoftheamountofcurrentisthenwirelesslysentto the display unit via the transmitter. Theenergy consumption is shown directly onthedisplay.

Locating your electricity meterFindyourelectricitymeterandcheckwhichtypeyouhave.Itisnormallyfoundonanouterwall,inthegarage,inthecellarorinautilityroom.Ifyouliveinaflat,itmaybelocatedneartheentrydoor, inthestairway,orinthecellar.Makesurethecablesexitingthebottomoftheelectricitymeterareaccessible.

Modernofficesandflatscanhavesafetypanelswhichprotectthecablesenteringtheelectricitymeter.Ifthisisyoursituation,werecommendthatyoucontactaqualifiedelectrician.

Finding the power supply feed cableTherearefourcablesatthebottomoftheelectricitymeter.Thecableon the right (cable4) isalways the live feedcable (Activephase)fromthemetertothefusebox(seediagram1).

Certaininstallationshavecables1and2entirelyorpartiallycoveredinordertohindermodificationorhomeinstallationofcablesbeforethemeter(seediagram2).Connectthesensortocable4(onthefarright).

Meterswithdualtariffs(seediagram3)oftenhaveanextracablebetweencable3and4.Theextracablehasasmallerdiameterthantheothercablesandleadstoanotherelectricitymetercloseby.

Newerinstallationsnormallyhavetwocablesontheundersideofthemeter.Oneofthecablesistheearthcableandtheotheristhefeedcable.Thesensorshouldbeclampedaroundthefeedcable(normallycolouredbrown).

Ifyouhavea3-phasesupplyorifyouhaveanEconomy7meteryouwillneedseveralsensors.Theextrasensorseasilyconnecttothesocketatthebaseofthetransmitter.N.B.Theelectricitymonitorcomeswith3sensors.

6. Installation - fitting

1.Findyourlivefeedcable(UK),cables(SE)(NO)(FI).

2.Pressthereleasecapoutwardstoopenthesensor.

3.Makesurethatyouhavethecorrectcableandplacethesensoraroundthecable.

4.Pressthesensortogetherandaclickwillbeheardwhenthereleasecaplocks.

5.FitasensorontoeachlivefeedcableL1,L2,L3(SE)(NO)(FI).

6.2 Connect the sensor to the transmitterPlugthesensorsintothesocketsonthebottomofthetransmitter.Thesensors/plugsdonothavetobeinanyparticularorder.Thesensormetersthecurrentwhichpassesthroughthesecables.Areadingoftheamountofdrawncurrentisthenwirelesslysenttothedisplayunitviathetransmitter.Theenergyconsump-tionisshowndirectlyonthedisplay.

7. Linking the transmitter and display unit

1.StartbyinsertingthreeAA/LR6batteriesintothetransmitter’sbatterycompartment,andthreeAAA/LR03batteriesinthedisplayunit’sbatterycompartment.

Tip:Ifthetransmitterislocatedoutdoors,itisextraimportanttousegoodqualitybatteries.Usealkalinebatterieswhichwithstandcoldbetter.

2.Hold inthe[link]but-tononthebackofthedisplayunitfor2 sec-onds. The signalsymbol should flashforoneminute.

3.Pressthebuttononthefront of the transmitteronce whilst the signalsymbol is flashing andthenwaituntilthesym-bolstopsflashing.

Tip: Ifsyn-chronisationissuccessful,thesignalsymbolwillappearonthedisplay.

Ifunsuccess-ful, ─ ─ ─ willappearonthedisplay.

N.B. Thedefaultupdate time is6seconds (LEDflashesred).Thismeansthat the transmitterrelaysinformationevery6seconds.Youcanchangetheupdatetimefrom6sto12sor18sbypressingandholdinginthebuttononthetransmitterfortwoseconds(theLEDchangescolour).

Red =6s.

8. Setting the time and date

Theelectricitymonitormustbeprogrammedwiththecorrecttimeanddateinordertogiveaccurateinformation.

N.B.Makesurethatthetimeanddateoftheelectricitymonitormatchthetimeanddateonyour computer, otherwise youmayexperiencedifficultywhen transferringdata.Rememberthatyouwillhavetochangefromsummertowintertimemanually.

9. Single tariff setup

TheelectricitymonitormustbeprogrammedwiththecorrectunitcostperkWhifitistoprovideyouwithaccuratecostreadings.Setthetariffasfollows(validonlyifyouDONOThaveadualtariffmeter):

First enter the settings mode:Pressandholdin[unit/set]fortwoseconds.N.B.Ifnobuttonispushedfor20secondsthedisplaywillgobacktonormaldisplaymodewithoutsavinganychanges.

Step 1. VoltagePressandholdin[unit/set]fortwoseconds.230*flashes(230Visthedefaultsetting).Changethevoltageusingthe [◄] and [►] buttons if you have a different mainsvoltage.Press[unit/set]toconfirmandtoadvancetothecurrencysetting.*Evenifyouhavea400Vsupply,thevoltageperphaseis230V.

Step 2. CurrencySetthecorrectcurrency(kr,€,$or₤)usingtheusingthe[◄]and [►]buttons.Press [unit/set] toconfirmand toadvancetothetariffsetting.

Step 3. Single tariff TARIFFappearsand1flashes.Press [unit/set] toconfirm if youhavejustonesingletariff.Refertosection10ifyouhaveanelec-tricitymeterfordualtariffs.Tip: Duringtheentireinstallationprocessyoumaypress[timepe-riod]tosaveyoursettingsandreturntonormaldisplaymode.

Step 4. CostsSetthecorrecttariffusingthe[◄]and[►]buttons.Press[unit/set]toconfirmandcontinue.

Step 5. kg CO2 (kg carbon dioxide per kWh)ThekgCO2/kWhcanbeadjustedwiththe[◄]and[►]buttons.Press[unit/set]toconfirmandcontinueontosettingthealarm.

Step 6. Alarm (High-energy consumption alarm)Thedefaultalarmvalueissetto5kW.Ifthealarmfunctionisac-tivatedandyouconsumemorethan5kWhabuzzerwillsound.Thealarmactivationvaluecanbesetusingthe[◄]and[►]but-tons.Press[unit/set]toconfirmandthen[timeperiod]toexitthesettingsmode.

Press[alarmon/off]onthebackofthedisplayunittoactivateordeactivatethealarm.

10. Multiple tariff setup

N.B.Thissectiononlyappliesifyouhavemultipletariffs.

Ifyouhaveanelectricitymeterwithdual tariff rates,youneed toprogrammetheelectricitymonitorforthisfunction.

Step 1. Activation of dual tariffsPressandholdin[unit/set]fortwoseconds.Thevalueforthesetvoltage (230V)willbegin to flash.Press [unit/set] two times toconfirmandopenthedualtariffsettingsmode.TARIFFappearsand1flashes.Selectthenumberoftariffsusingthe[◄]and[►]buttons.Press[unit/set]toconfirm.

Step 2. Set the start and end time for tariff 1 (this only applies if more tariffs than tariff 1 are activated)TARIFFSTARTTIMEappears.12.00(starttime)flashes.Setthestarttime(hoursandminutes)using[◄]and[►]andpress[unit/set]tosaveandcontinuetothenextsetting.TARIFFSTARTTIMEwillbereplacedonthedisplaybyTO.SettheendtimeforTARIFF1inthesamewayasyoudidforthestarttime.Repeattheprocedureifyouhavemoretariffs.

Example: YouareonanEconomy-7tariff from01.00to08.00.SettheTARIFFSTARTTIME01.00andTO08.00.Press[unit/set]toconfirm.ThensetthetariffperkWhforbothtariffsforbothdayandnight.

If I remove the battery, will I lose all my saved data?No,theinformationissavedintheinternalmemoryandisnotlostwhenthebatteryischanged.

How do I reset the display (erase all data and start over)?Pressandholdin[function]and[unit/set]simultaneously,Voltage(230V)flasheswheneverythinghasbeenerased.N.B.Ifyouresettheelectricitymonitorallinformationonpreviousconsumptioniserased.However,timeanddateinformationissavedinthememory.

What is the transmitter’s range?Therangeisupto40metresinanormalhome.The433MHzfrequencyisverysuitableforthispurpose.Withgoodconditionsthesignalsareabletospanuptothreefloors.
