repurposed…as long form TV shows.

• Also, TIMELY content. • Something you can conceive, shoot, and edit

in one day.

BUT EVERY TIME YOU THINK YOU KNOW THE RULES…

THEY CHANGE YOUTUBE was sure it was all about 2 to 3

minute videos, about dramatic squirrels or a cute cat or some dude ranting in his robe.

Then along comes a 30 minute expensively shot and produced polemic about child soldiers in Africa, and…

100 MILLION VIEWS IN LESS THAN A WEEK.

So much for the rules.

• It used to be AUTHORITY told the audience how it was… • Now the audience is a REAL part of the conversation.

When a newscaster talks about a story, the link can be there simultaneously

• News can now be fact checked in real time• The audience can now participate in the story using

twitter, google hangouts, skype, etc.• References to articles are now available instantly

• How can you exploit this brave new world?• Talent: Writing, directing, editing, animating,

acting, thinking.• Money: But not so much as it used to be.• Relationships: find the right outlet in the

multiverse of distribution possibilities.

• MOST IMPORTANT, MAKE SOMETHING GREAT• To quote a cheesy American movie, your attitude

MUST always be “if we build it, they will come”.
